I've been homebrewing a lot of classes just recently in my account, I pride myself with my own creations, but the biggest set back has been one of the most frustrating home brew subclass that I've ever tried to make for myself, for some reason when i was creating the Eldritch Knight subclass for my fighter as a homebrew . . . it just doesn't work, as the spell slots will not show neither would the spells, I did everything already, searched online for it. only the cantrips where the only progress i had so far, i thought i would have it figured out by the end of the day but no. please help me i really want to make the homebrew eldritch knight just for my friends and brothers campaign, even if its half baked . . . Heres the list of things i did to try and make the spell list available for this homebrew:
1. I made the spells available to the Eldritch Knight Subclass available to my homebrew Eldritch Knight by recreating/modifying the spells and adding them to the subclass itself by putting the tag [Eldritch Knight 5e (2020) HB] on it so that its available for classes in the spell creation map, it worked when i put it in the specific spell list for the class, but it still doesn't show the spell slots nor the manage spells in the character sheet.
2. I've made the subclass have all the spells available to it at one point in the add spells and the specific spells, and the additional spell list at most bottom portion of class features.
3. I made this subclass able to cast spell by clicking yes, I've also put the wizard tag on it, and clicked half - table to make the spells table be a half table, i also clicked knows all spells into yes/ switching it to no from time to time because its still a wizard and i believe eldritch knight doesn't know all the spells.
4. I try to specify the spells for this class so much so that it will work (but it doesn't) so that i can see the spell slots in the half table and the manage spells, (but i still dont see any manage spells at it).
5.I've made the spells specific to my eldritch knight subclass , made the spells known, prepared the spells, and clicked the uses the spell slots in the add spells or spell list creation.
6. I've put cast at level 1 - 4 and its availability to be at certain levels on both the top one where you chose how the spells can scale by level like the 1, 2, 3, 4 option near the spell adding at the top most right. and the bottom left where it can cast at certain levels.
7. I've clicked level divisor to be at 5, I've also made the spell casting to be intelligence based bcs thats the eldritch knights spell casting.
8. I've tried putting no. of uses and no. of charge equal to the level where the eldritch knights limited spell slots is 3 while their spells known is four.
9. Still for some reason the 1st level - 4th level spells slots and the no. of spells known doesn't show in the sheet.
10. I can see the 1st level spells in the builder and i can choose it as i didn't put it in the class feature options where the one where you can put prerequisites and make it have options, but it doesn't apply in the character sheet, I only see the cantrips as they are cast at will.
Please help me I'm so frustrated already, thats all thank you.
Edit: IF EVER NOBODY answers this within 30 days, I'll buy the Eldritch Knight subclass for only a month and DISSECT IT PIECE BY PIECE so that I can understand how to build one myself, to figure out why my homebrew is not working! and Only to create my own homebrew subclass of the eldritch knight! if nothing else bcs the revise is better PS. I'm not joking i will literally dissect that subclass to understand it and create hundreds of my other subclass that this little unrevised class, has so miserably delayed by one week of my time!
You have to add a subclass feature named “Spellcasting” to the subclass and it will automatically attach 1/3 caster progression just like Eldritch Knight and Arcane Trickster.
Set “can cast spells” to Yes, set the Spellcasting Ability to Int and set the “additional spell list” as Wizard.
I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure that you cannot make a sub class that is a half-caster. Because the only sub-classes that grant spellcasting are third casters. Half casting has to come from the main class not sub classes, and so is not doable on DNDBeyond.
My fighter is a leshy and should know these spells: druidcraft, barkskin, entangle, plant growth, shillelagh, speak with plants, hideous laughter, animal friendship, pass without trace, and speak with animals. but it wont let me pick any spells to equip onto it

That thread is in the “Homebrew & Houserules Forum” where questions about how to homebrew are best left and many answers can already be found.
I hope that helps.

What about the half table do I enable it?

Yes, the reason you could find nothing about 1/2 Caster subclasses is because they do not exist.

Ty, I'll never delete this thread as a lesson for myself to ask for help next time.
I just want to add spells to my fighter without ruining the way it works can anyone help?
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to make it a ⅓ spellcaster like the Eldritch Knight, or something different?

That’s a homebrewed race, you will need to create it for yourself to use it. You can do that in the homebrewer: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/homebrew/creations/create-race).
