Recently my Inbetween race was published. Loosely based off of the tween from AD&D's Fiend Folio, inbetweens are beings of the transitive planes. I'm worried that the Planeswalker and Astral Possession abilities are too overarching and powerful. Is there a way to have these abilities without them being too powerful?

Planeswalker doesn't seem too powerful to me. If the campaign is set completely in the Astral or Ethereal Plane it would be really helpful, but otherwise it's something that should not come into play too much as to become OP.
As for Astral Possession, it indeed is powerful... You could probably try to balance it making the Saving Throw on Wisdom instead of Charisma, as on average WIS is a higher stat, and/or maybe lowering the DC to 6+INT+Proficiency.

Magic jar and ghost both require Charisma saves for their possession features, it feels weird to go against that. Lowering the DC is definitely worth considering. Thank you for your help!

I don't feel anything in there is overly powerful, however, as you are concerned and Astral Possession is a prime candidate for shenanigans, I offer these ideas:
Give the save every turn during combat.
If, while possessing the body, you force it to do something against it's alignment, roll a save.
I have updated the Astral Inbetween's Astral Projection feature. Now actions in the possessed body are far more limited and the possessed creature gets to try to make a save every round.

Just a couple thoughts off the top of my head.
