I created a feat that adds access to a spell (command). When I add it manually from the "manage spells & feats" area I see the spell at the bottom of the feat "Command (1st)", and I also see it in the spells tab. However, when I refresh the spell disappears from the bottom of the feat and from the spells area. It's like the character sheet is correctly modified on add, but not on refresh. Similarly, when you add from the "character builder" by a level up add feat, you have to do a refresh to get to the character sheet and it always is gone.
Other details:
The spell in this case is command
I've made it at will
I've extended the range to 300ft
I'm fine to publicly publish the feat if that helps. Did I create the feat incorrectly? Is there a bug in the combination of features I'm using?
I had also renamed my feat at one point, but I am adding the correct new feat in my tests (the old one doesn't show up since the rename). I bring that up incase it's a factor.
Publishing won’t help, it’ll just make it worse. Can you please post a link to your character sheet and screenshots of how you added the spell so someone can look into it for you?
Just created a new test feat with the same spell add and the same thing happened.
Details, everything listed below is set, everything else is not set)
Spell - command selected
Cast at level - 1 (though I tried with this unset, to "-", and it had the same effect)
Casting time - 1
Activation Type - Action
Spell Range Type - Ranged
Range Distance (ft.) - 300
Additional description - I wrote some words in there
Is infinite - checked
This one didn't have a rename so I'm reasonably sure that's not it. It may be a combination of what's set / what's unset, but it all looks innocuous to me. I'm thinking this is a dndbeyond bug at this point.
I don't appear to be able to post images here, unless they're already on the interent.
So this is 100% reproducable though.
Create a feat
Add a spell grant option
Fill it out as I listed in comment #4 (above)
Add it to a character via "Manage Feats"
Notice that it lists the feat and in italics Command (1st)
Notice that in the Spells tab you can see Command and the feat's name
Refresh the character sheet page
Repeat steps 5 & 6 except that you notice they aren't there
Also if you instead add from the level up ASI or Feat grant, you will be forced to refresh because the Character Builder is a different page than the character sheet. On navigating to the character sheet it starts broken.
For posterity, you can actually keep all of it - EXCEPT - for "Is Infinite". I was thinking that's what gave me "at will", but actually that's done from other settings. The purpose of "Is Infinite" is actually a spell selection modifier "Select any number of spells with these spell parameters" meaning it works with Spell levels, class, etc. Since I have the spell picked and am not setting the spell search parameters it wasn't finding anything. That doesn't explain why Command showed up temporarily, but it does make sense why it was failing.
DndBeyond devs - the above shows a bug. Secondarily "Is Infinite" is a misleading name, and it's grouping is very confusing.
Ideally the following would be done:
Rename Is Infinite to be more specific, "Allow All Spells That Match" for instance
Better grouping - the Is Infinite property at the bottom made it seem unrelated to the other main search parameters
Lastly, homebrew validators for things like this, "looks like your spell search parameters cannot return any spells", note I understand that everyone's spell availability combination is potentially different, so I get it's impossible to search for matching spells in a meaningful way at this point. What I'm talking about is "no matter what content you have, your parameters will never yield anything because no info was provided".
Thanks!

You need to designate an “Ability Score” for the spell on the Spell form for the feat:
And you need to get rid of all of the following:
