I want to create a magic item that works really similar to a +1 item but with added CHA modifier so that the formula would be 1d10+3+CHA

The thing is, I can't figure out how to actually add the CHA modifier to my rolls.

Any help please?

Edit: Manual override won't do because my CHA will be changing very rapidly due to our other homebrew stuff and I'm too lazy to constantly keep up with that

If you can do it at all, it would be:

Modifier: Bonus->Subtype: Magic->Ability: Cha

Did you re-save the whole magic item after saving the Modifier?

Did you remove the item from the character and then add it back again?

If the answer to both questions is yes then it won’t work and you’ll have to adjust it manually on your character sheet.
