Hi, I've made a homebrew subclass that I'm happy with and want to upload for the community, but I also want to be able to edit it afterward if I decide it needs balancing. Is there a way that I can copy my own homebrew creation as a 'backup' so I can edit it after I've uploaded the original?
I have tried using it as a template for a new subclass but the only options available to me are templates of official subclasses on dndb. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
No. After you publish it you would have to hit the [Create New Version] button, edit that, and then upload that new version. However the old version will always be available for people to download and use too. If you make 5 revisions, that means 5 new versions, which means there will be 5 older versions out there that you can never edit or take down. I strongly urge you to conclude all playtesting and editing prior to publishing your subclass.
