Hi all, first time making a thread here.

I'm trying to make a variant tiefling with a set of options to replace the spells given by the Infernal Legacy trait.

I have the variant option checked, I have the feature type selected as replacement with the Infernal Legacy one being toggled, I have a 1 in the box for "levels where options known" so that one option should be available, and I have 5 options currently set up.

When looking at the details page, or when viewing it within the character creator, this trait doesn't even show up. It's been a full day since I made any edits (besides selecting the "is called out" box a bit ago to see if that will do absolutely anything), so I don't know what's going on here.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

You want to set the trait as “Granted,” not “Replacement.” Recreate it as a Granted trait set to “Replace Base Race Racial Trait” Infernal Legacy.

Im also having issues with this i want my dwarf sub-species to have a choice between two different resistance traits. The main one being resistant/advantage against psychic damage. and the optional one being resistance towards force/blunt damage with it then being subtracted by the constitution score for total damage. (as long as they have any armor or shield)..

I redid the "replacement" and set trait to as "Granted" but I dont get an option to “Replace Base Race Racial Trait”. any ideas how to fix. went through your walkthrough but wasnt able to solve it.

You’ll only get the option to Replace Base Racial Traits if you’re making a “Variant Race/Species.” Dwarves don’t get “variants,” they get “subraces” instead. You will have to designate your subrace as a variant.

Wow you responded so fast! Thanks for the help man. Kind of new here and didn't know there was a bell for notifications haha. But I grew too frustrated with how the DnD beyond setup they really need like YouTube tutorials lol not to say your list doesn't help cause I was able to find out you cant create sub races for a custom race you made (which I find that to be ridiculous) wasted two days trynna get it to work. Was hoping to make it organized but guess that's out the window lol. But I am having another issue where I wanna give them expertise with any tool. but when i set the modifier for any tool and go to the page. it just says select tool only in the drop down box.

“Expertise” only works if they’re already proficient with a tool/skill. Try “Twice Progiciency->Choose a Tool” instead.
