So, I've been trying to figure out how to do this for the last little while now and I'm struggling.
I'm attempting to make a weapon, using the longsword as a base, that is Versatile, Finesse. It does 1d10 one-handed or 2d6 two-handed, and has the "sweeping attack" feature from Fighter (see below) in the form of 2 charges per short rest instead of the superiority die mechanic, but I'm just not sure how to make this work. I also am not sure if it's balanced. It's a "quest item" that my Pact of the Blade Great Old One Warlock will be using.
Sweeping Attack When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to attempt to damage another creature with the same attack. Choose another creature within 5 feet of the original target and within your reach. If the original attack roll would hit the second creature, it takes damage equal to the number you roll on your superiority die. The damage is of the same type dealt by the original attack.
I apologize if I'm in the wrong forum, this will be my first post on here.
That is not possible. A 1d10 weapon will always do 1d12 when versatile. The only way to get a weapon to do 2d6 when Versatile is to start with a 2d4 weapon.
The rest would be done with txt and charges, but the weapon could not also have the die roll for that at this time.

I apologize for my ignorance, but how exactly do I do that. I am struggling so incredibly hard with the builder. Is there, perhaps, a video tutorial somewhere to figure this out a pinch better?

You just add the txt to the description under “basic information” and under “additional information” check off “has charges” set the “number of charges” to 2, and then set the “Charge Reset Condition” to Long Rest.
