when I look at other homebrews it shows a spot for spells.. but I don't see a place to enter them? I just tried using a level 1 feature and added spells at different levels, but it doesn't look like the spell tables I see on other homebrew clerics. Where should this go?
I have features at the required cleric levels, but it says I dont. I have extra level 1s in addition to the required, is that the issue?
I have read some forums about what spells I am using being behind pay walls, so that could potentially be it?
Any advice for someone more familiar with homebrew creation would be greatly appreciated.
The only spells you can link to published homebrew are free spells. The license to include these spells in your published works is spelled out in the System Reference Document (SRD).
You do not have to publish your subclass to use it in a campaign. All homebrew created by, or in the collection of, anyone in the campaign is automatically shared with everyone else in that campaign to be used in that campaign.
That being said, either add the cleric's domain spells on the main edit page for the subclass or in the Spellcasting feature under the spells section. I suggest making a copy of an existing cleric subclass and see how the devs put together an official version.
Having multiple features on the same level isn't an issue. You probably need to go back to the main edit page and click the orange SAVE CHANGES button. Even when actions and features are all saved, you have to go back to the main save button and save everything.
I am trying to build my first homebrew subclass for my upcoming campaign. I am not sure what I am doing wrong and why it wont publish. Here is the link: https://www.dndbeyond.com/subclasses/2113971-scientology-domain
