Hello, I am trying to make a race with innate spellcasting and with an option to choose your ability score for spells (like all new races with spellcasting options), but can't seem to find how to make a trait like that. Making "options" doesn't seem to work, as it then treat all spells inside those options as choices, rather than all of them being granted with a particular ability score already allocated.
The way to do it is in fact through Options. The reason it wasn’t working for you was because you were adding all the spells together instead of adding each spell individually to each option. Essentially, if you want to give the player a choice of spell casting ability, and grant them a single 1st-level spell that they can cast once for free and also cast with spell slots, then you will need to create a trait with 3 Options, and add that spell to each Option twice. If you want to grant them 3 spells like that, then you have to add each of those spells to each Option twice.
