I'm trying to make a strength based bow for my character but I can't seem to get the plus 2 proficiency to go on to it's to hit. can someone tell me how you do it through the modifiers?
The easiest way to do it is: “Modifier—>Weapon Property” “Modifier Subtype—>Finesse” That will allow the character to use either Str or Dex, whichever is higher. If you follow the link in my sigline below for my homebrewed Magic Items, I made something called a “Heavy Longbow” based off of the Composite Bows from older editions, and since it’s technically a “common magic item” I gave it a little bit extra too. Feel free to add it to your own collection if you like and ask me questions if you need to.
