I think the feature could be more flavorful and specific, perhaps less about criminal contacts and more about seedy gossip -you know generals about the underbelly of an area, but you also know about the nobility, as people from all walks of life gamble.
An odd trinket you won would be a fun addition to the equipment.

So I added my homebrew background the "Gambler" its a cross between the Criminal and Charlatan. So what do you think of it?
