So I'm trying to add spells from KibblesTasty's Elemental Spells (reformated) (LINK: https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-MgHj-uOuu8ybPqOc6Dq) Because I'm bloody tired of having my Draconic Bloodline (Bronze) sorcerer not having any decent lightning spells... But I keep running into two problems:
Problem A) Issues with Old versions showing up over New ones (all versions unpublished, with no intent to publish another's work). So I've tried making "Crackle", from the link above, two different ways: From scratch, and via modifying a copy of "Scorching Ray". When I try to change the name, after modifying scorching ray, it won't show up on my test character (even after toggling the homebrew toggle on and off). When I make it from scratch though, I encounter another problem (Problem B)
Problem B) Issues with count and scaling working properly. "Crackle" is basically a cousin to "scorching ray", but when I format the shared details (3 Arcs = 3 Rays, scale up 1 Arcs per level = scale up 1 Rays per level) identically to scorching ray... I end up with the wrong count showing up in the base level (2nd spell level in this case) spell.
Any advice/hacks/fixes anyone can provide would be very helpful... I'm hoping to get at least all of the lightning spells from KibblesTasty's Elemental Spells (reformated) working for myself (and maybe my friends if I get Master Tier Sub.), but it's getting very frustrating.
If you haven’t published you don’t need to create new versions at all, just edit the old version to reflect the new and and then there will only be one version, eliminating problem A.
Do you have the spell sheet to scaling as “spell scale” or “spell level?” It should be “spell scale.”
You would set the Modifier as 1d12 lightning.
You would add two “At Higher Levels” for the spell. • The first would have no level at all and an “Additional Count” of 2. • The second would have a level of 1 and an “Additional Count” of 1.
You then MUST re-save the entire thing using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information or the system won’t pick up your changes. After that it can sometimes take up to 20 minutes for those changes to push through to the character builder/sheet.

Ugh, it was totally the bolded section... I must have picked a bad time for the servers, or something. It does also seem like character sheets can act as time capsules for previous spell versions, but again, that might have just been because of the bolded bit.
