I've got an exceptionally fragile Sorcerer in my current campaign (his Wild Magic regressed him to age 10, so his Constitution and Strength scores both got knocked way down), so I'm trying to create a magic item that makes him more survivable, and find the formula and materials to make it. Would love thoughts on the item: The Ring of the Glass Cannon.

I'd say it should be the 'Ring of Self-protection', or 'of the Selfish', as it only protects them and doesn't amplify any damage 'the Cannon part of Glass cannon'. Looks good though, simple and can help in a sticky situation. Could be made out of a diamond and some silver, or whichever suits the character's personality. Glass cannon ring would be more '+6 damage to all next attacks, but -2 AC until your next turn'.

You say mage armor can be cast at will, yet the ring only has 1 charge. What is the charge for?
