I've been trying to change the way armor is being calculated for my subclass. Basically if an armor allow to add your DEX modifier to your AC, you can instead decide to use an other stat.
The only thing I've been able to achieve so far is to have you stat added as long as you are wearing armor, but this also applies it to armor which wouldn't normally have a modifier like heavy armor.
Thank you, I tried it, but it's not exactly what I wanted as this will add the modifier even if an armor doesn't allow for extra modifier like heavy armors.... I guess I,ll just have to to work around it on the character sheet directly instead of doing it from the sub class menu.
For example of what I'm trying to achieve: I want a character to scale is light and medium armor using CON instead of DEX without affecting the AC from heavy armor which don't and shouldn't allow extra modifiers.
So far the only way I found to work around this was to manually adjust the AC bonus on my player character sheet.
Again thank you for trying to help me out with this.. even tho I'm not sure it's possible from the subclass directly.
It was worth a shot. Thank you both for the quick replies, it's appreciated, I'll fix it manual for my player as we go on, and who knows maybe one day it'll be possible.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this.

I hope someone can help me if it can be done.
I don't think there is a modifier for what you are trying to do. The tools currently only support mechanics that official subclasses, races, etc need.Edit: Mellie has a decent workaround

You won't be able to change the default in it's entirety, but this might get you to a more serviceable/close place?
> Set -> AC Max Dex Armored Modifier -> 0
> Set -> AC Max Dex Unarmored Modifier -> 0
> Bonus -> Armor Class -> (Ability Score)
I did this as a test to use Charisma, and was able to have Charisma be added to both unarmored and armored AC, while Dexterity wasn't.
The limitation is that the equipment will not be able to interpret this change. So a Max 2 Dex armor will not enforce a Max 2 Cha.

Yeah, you are probably out of luck. There is nothing that lets you generically replace one ability score with another, at least not yet.
