So i'm working on a project for a character in one of my campaigns where they've started as an Artificer, but eventually are supposed to gain access to a full caster spell level progression, (1st to 9th level spells etc.)
My question is Can you adjust spell level progression with casters that already exist? Or would you be only able to effectively slap the class features you need onto something like a Wizard-based subclass which is similar enough to Artificer and go from there?
Oof, well figured i'd ask after hammering at it for a while. Sounds like i'll have to reverse engineer Artificer and graft it onto wizard. Thanks for answering that!

Unfortunately, there is no way to alter a class’ (or subclass’) Spellcasting feature.

Bah, you're fine. I kind of expected it, to be honest, but I wanted to double check and make sure I wasn't overlooking something.
