I don't know how to get the homebrew class to show up as an option for myself.
It's not published or even near being published currently because a: I'm testing it and b: I doubt literally anyone else cares besides me.
I'm making homebrew race + class for animal companions for rangers, so I'm trying to make it a sub-class, but I really have absolutely no idea how a subclass works in the first place? Is it a replacement or an addition to the normal class? Either way I can't see to get anything relevant to picking my subclass to show up in the character builder.
I was able to get the race working fine (I do have homebrew enabled for the character creation)

That's the class link and the builder link for the character.
I mean no offense, but if you don’t even understand what a subclass is, I highly recommend learning how to play the game in the first place before homebrewing anything. It will make your attempts at homebrew easier.
I'm not trying to actuallly "create" anything new, I'm simply trying to make it so that I can create a character sheet through d&d beyond for any animal companion. So no, not helpful.

You don’t need to, on your character sheet, there is an “extras” section, you can add your companion to your character sheet there.
