I have tried - unsuccessfully- to create an endgame artifact but can't seem to get it to apply the modifiers as i expect them to work.....can anyone help out ?
The stats of the item are:
Based on a Longsword but it is made out of "force"
uses Int for to hit / damage (Not Strength)
does 4d8 Force damage (not the base 1d8/1d10)
is NOT Versatile (so can only be used 1 handed)
+3 to Hit and Damage
Grants advantage on melee attacks
+ 2 to Spell DC and Spell Attack
Happy to try and link the item i have made or export it somehow if you need / can tell me how !

Hiya Glen,
Bullet point 2 is currently impossible and can only be adjusted manually on the character sheet. *The other thing you could do is grant the PC the ability to use Int for all magic weapons.
Bullet point 3 is currently impossible and the closest you can come is to make it 1d8 (+3d8) the same way a Flame Tongue Longsword works.
If that is acceptable I can tell you how to do it.

for Bullet two manually adjusting is fine, cant really change for all items as its a unique item for this character.
for bullet 3 having 1d8 as force and 3d8 as force works fine too
More than happy for pointers whenever you are able...i have tried to link what i have so far. only this is if puting as a "custom action" you lose the colour of the item which is a nice touch to see a nice "Yellow/Orange" name in your "Attacks" list !

It doesn’t combine them to all roll together no. Just like [magicitem]Flame Tongue[/spell]. That’s why I mentioned it.
Yeah, you just have to customize the action and change the Attack and Damage Bonus so they match the Int bonus instead of Str.

This mostly all correct, here’s the difference:
That needs to be two modifiers:
1) Replace Damage Type—>Force
2) Modifier—>Damage; Subtype—>Force; Dice Count—>3; Die Type—>d8
