I'm putting together a Druid subclass called Circle of Elements (tweaked off something online so I don't intend to publish it.) It's similar in structure to Circle of the Land, so I was going to make a "base" version like the vanilla Circle of the Land, and then use that as a template for creating the usable subclasses for each element.
Unfortunately, it looks like I can only choose from official subclasses to use as templates, and not any of my existing homebrew subclasses. After checking the same seems to be true of Sub-Races.
Is there some way to use my homebrew subclass as a template? It shouldn't take me too much extra work to copy a Circle of the Land and replace the features, just wanted to make sure first.

That used to be possible but they killed it. I think it was so that we couldn’t use UA as templates. However, since that’s a nonissue now….
