I'm working on a background that grants two tool proficencies from a list of 7 options.   I'd like to add equipment to this background so two tool kits are part of the starting equipment.  However, I would like to limit those choices to the tool  proficiencies choosen or at least to drop down lists that only include the choices available for proficiency in the background.  Is there a way to do this?

Also, while attempting to work, this out I was able to add the option to select 2 items from a list of Artisan tools.  However, that list doesn't include Herbalism tools.  There doesn`t seem to be another option that Includes them.    Is there another way to build a drop down list for equipment that I'm not seeing?

Herbalism Kit is not an Artificer tool, it’s one of the other tools along with Thieves, Disguise/Forgery, etc.

Yes, you ad “additional specific gear” and add each of the 8 individually as “or” options. If they get 2 of them, do it twice.

While I couldn't get these to appear as drop-down lists, and I can't seem to limit choices to the proficences chosen under tools, or prevent a user from selecting same tool kit twice, I was able to get the or check lists appear.   Now I'm trying to figure out how to add an instruction line like "pick the tool you took proficiency in" or something similar.

You cannot upload images here, you have to host them on a site like imgur.com first (Google is no good).

You cannot limit the selections the ways you describe, you can only put them in as text and count on the honor system.
