Hi everyone My group are currently starting the Odyssey of the Dragonlords campaign (it's an unofficial, 3rd party module) and we are having a problem. One of the sub classes that appear in the book is a sorcerer origin that has the feature that it can use it's CHA instead of STR for attack and damage bonus.
We assumed this should be easy to homebrew in dndbeyond as it is very similar to the Hexblade feature (actually, should be even simpler as it should work for ALL weapons, not just a selected one). However, try as we might, we didn't find anyway how to do it... Any ideas?
You have to add a subclass feature entitled “Hex Warrior” and then re-save the entire subclass. That checkbox and it’s mechanics are hard coded to the name of the class feature. The description can be anything you want, but I recommend something along the lines of the following:
At 1st level, you can mystically channel your will through weapons. Whenever you finish a long rest, you can touch any number of weapons that you are proficient with and that lack the two-handed property. When you attack with those weapons, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. This benefit lasts until you finish a long rest.
If you want to add any proficiency modifiers for armor or weapons as well, those will have to be attached to the feature manually.

I hope that helps.
