So I've been working on the idea of a dragonborn or Kobald whose life goal is to use arcane power to become an actual dragon (so basically getting true polymorph and casting it on themselves).
This can be done as a bard, wizard, or Warlock (and Im leaning pact of the blade warlock with a celestial unicorn patron, since being dragged from lawful evil towards lawful good while wielding a unicorn horn as a shortsword sounds amazing).
But I have a question as to the flavor of this end goal for the character: do you think he should have becoming a certain color of dragon in mind, or should he just chase after whatever form he deems most powerful, or should I let the DM decide what color he takes on as a reflection of his journey?

That one is what I would want as a player, but any of them could work.
