Hey folks, apologies if this question has been asked and answered before, I tried the item creation guide but was unable to find an answer about this.
I'm trying to create a homebrew item, in particular a quarterstaff that does only necrotic damage (no physical at all) and uses the INT bonus instead of STR bonus in the attack roll.
Does the editor allow you for something like this at all?
Whatever combination that I have tried, it always ends up using STR bonus and adds physical damage along with any necrotic that I add.
It was originally only designed to be able to implement official content, and nothing official does that. The closest is the Artillerist Artificer that uses Int for all magic item attacks. 🤷♂️

Replacing the damage type is easy:
Modifier: Replace Damage Type->Subtype: Necrotic
That will replace its Bludgeoning damage with Necrotic.
There is no way to alter the original damage dice however.
As for using Int instead of Str, not possible without making it so that PC uses Int for all Magic weapons.

Thanks for replying.
Seems that the item creator is extremely limited in that regard.
