Is it possible to create a subclass that adds options to the class's choice of eldritch invocations? It's not actually a subclass feature so it can't be changed directly.
Not yet, homebrewed Eldritch Invocations are planned though. We just don’t have a timeline for it yet.
Considering how long that has been on the docket, I suspect 6th Ed will be out first. (No, I have heard nothing of a coming 6th edition of D&D)
That said, things like this invocation and maneuvers are way overdue.
Race: Tropical Dwaves Spells: Summon Spirits Rites of Mummification Monster: Osprey Feat: Skill Mastery–Animal Handler (Provides DCs for training animals applicable to those with and without this feat)
We should hopefully be able to expect them once we can make Homebrew base classes one presumes.
