I have this feature in a homebrew sub-class for sorcerer
At 1st level, your body is able to manage and master an unusual amount of power. You gain two cantrips of your choice from the sorcerer spell list.
You also gain an additional sorcerer spell of your choice at 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots, but doesn't count against your number of sorcerer spells known.
How can I make that happen. I tried added it with "add spell" but then it want to select all the spell at level 1. Do I really need to make 5 different features with the same name?
Sorry I didn’t see this sooner or I would have responded. It’s a system glitch that presents the choices all at the beginning, but if it’s set up properly it won’t actually grant the spells until their appropriate levels. The player can simply make the level appropriate choices and leave the rest blank until they reach the prerequisite levels.
