So I have ventured into dnd beyond for the first time now with buying the SBB and moving all my campaigns characters into dndb, and started trying to add my custom subrace of tortle, however no matter how i arrange it or what i do i cant get the ability score changes to keep, nor the replacement to the survival instinct.. am i stupid or is it bugged or how am i supposed to do this? none of the fixes ive seen in the past have worked

To best help you I have to ask a question, and offer a couple bits of technical info:

Are you creating this from scratch or are you using the base Tortle as a Template?

• When you create Racial Traits or Class Features, select “Granted” as the type, (not “Additional” or “Replacement”).
• After you save stuff like Modifiers, you MUST re-save the entire Homebrew using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic or the system won’t pick up your changes.
• After the main save, it can take up to 20 minutes for those changes to push through to the character sheet/builder.
