In general just read the rules and jump in. The tavern is a nice place and people are always welcome the plot doesn’t exist save for some encounters that get run from time to time. The power creep is a bit much but we are going to have an encounter break after people finish their quests that will hopefully give lower levels a chance to shine
that will be awesome. I am looking to have Auril kill off koldaris so there are less gods around.
It’s Eris a god? That and everybody is a telepathic
In my homebrew world, someone like Eris would be called a God-Vessel, but you would have to ask Half.
Okay, I'm thinking about introducing another character. I'm thinking an old pc who just so happened to walk into a tavern populated by 20th level characters.
None of my characters are 20th level. Astara is CR 10, Konyan is level 15, and Mithris is level 13.
koldaris is cr 20 but will soon leave, and bob is lvl 12

Konyan seemed to me like the head of the angelic hosts so I thought he was stronger. Also for my guy, I was thinking level 5 or something. To make it interesting

He was never meant to as powerful as Eris. His strength comes from his devotion his friends and his need to be a good person. And he's sort-of the leader of the Guardians, though not officially.

he has some magic items, and rogues are super powerful when it comes to thieving
Good point. For Lysander I'll just say he can divine really well and knows how to cast one damaging spell, using an unlimited wand. Maybe Meter shower, maybe fire ball I haven't decided which though.

meteor shower is op. we are trying to reduce power creep, and that would probably not help.

Question: Favorite character you don't play, mines old Atemos
Interesting Concept, great delivery
Probably also old Atemos.
i'm glad you guys like him!! i don't know what do to with him now but I'll play it out, depending on if I'm going to be chaotic evil or neutral good there's a terrible ending and a good one. maybe a neutral one.
my favorite is probably Eris tbh. She's really complex. but it's honestly hard to pick one...
Here's my favorites. i'm so sorry if I'm missing people(not in favorite order)
Eris: very complex, funny to interact with, interesting
Kaladan: funny to interact with, has a backstory I dont know, kind of crazy
Thurklea: very funny, mean in a good way
Calius: very well written villain, i like his motivations and villain speeches
Kothar: very funny, very crazy which is fun
Obadiah: edgy but also has a personality besides edgyness
Nox: very nice person in general
I don't know why but the crazy characters are very fun to talk to.

Itd also be good to add each characters player as well

I like lysander and nox because they are some what lore free and easier to talk to
Calius is an excellent villain who excels at making character growth one way or the other

Thanks for saying Lysander, that means a lot
From what I’ve read of calius’ telepathy he is amazing although Lysander has never met him
most of my encounters with Eris have been as a hector but I’m sure if her and Lysander met face to face then things would be different
