 "Names Echo, my friends call me Ace though," He says

*Ace is a air genasi male, wearing a thick coat and overall an outfit that screams 'i could take your money consensualy*

"Nice... Gambler?"

 "Well, i gamble, yes."

"Mmm..." Lysander grins slightly. "Want to play a game?"

 "Sure, why not?"

"You choose or me?"

*do we add anything to the roll?*

 "You choose"

*Nope, straight luck roll unless cheating ;)*

 "Poker? What do you want to put in the pot?"

 "How much do you have on ya?"

 "Magical powers. Maybe a favor from the loser?"

 "I don't really need favors, i tend towards coin as a simpler method

 "Mmm... Some gp for me and a favor from you for the pot?"

 He sighs, "I guess thats a fair trade,"

David is jogging outside. He is taking advantage of the cool night weather compared to the warm summer afternoons. He has his gun on him just in case however.

a cardinal starts to circle them, chirping happily

 He raises an eyebrow but doesn't concern himself with it

They wait for David to take a rest

 He seems to continue in and on before finally stopping, seeming to barely be out of breath.

 The cardinal lands on his head. The begin to sing happily. Want some food?

 He drinks from his water bottle and shakes his head "im fine... But thank you"

 Sure! they say, as a swarm of colorful butterflies seemingly come from nowhere 

 He watches a bit before speaking up "may I ask what you are?"

 The cardinal flies with the butterflies. a friendly neighborhood helper. And you?

 He narrows his eyes "Officer Schank. But what are you specifically?"

 Jade is sitting on the roof, watching the training field.

Yazrin is sitting at the bar, drinking a glass of cherry feywine.

Kat'Chka is at his usual corner seat, Silersilk curled up under his table.

 *I wanna mess with them, but ace is busy in another convo*

Ace, silently, floats up onto the roof, coming up behind her, (Though her high as heck perception allows no suprise ;D)

 "Hello again, Ace." She says smiling, not even bothering to turn around.

 "Hey Jade," He says, sitting beside her, "Nice view eh?"

 She smiles. "That it is."

 "I can see why you enjoy flying. Being above everything is.... peaceful."

 She nods. "It definitely is, especially on nights like this."

 He nods, staying quiet as he enjoys the view

 She grins, and pulls the rifle off her back. "See that target down there? Fifth from the right?"

 "Hmm, yep." He nods

 "Watch it." She says with a wink as she raises the rifle to her shoulder.  (FYI, the rifle looks like a Winchester 1866 lever-action rifle) With a loud Crack! she fires it, immediately reloading it with the lever as the chestplate directly over the head suddenly explodes as the first bullet hits it. She shifts ever so slightly and fires again, hitting the helmet dead-on, dropping the target. 

 Ace stares at the now dead target, very impressed, "Well, aren't you an impressive shot?" He says, grinning at her, "I don't think i've seen someone fire that kind of rifle so confidently."

 She smiles, blushing ever so slightly as she sets it down next to her. "Why thank you, Ace." She says a little shyly. "I've had a lot of practice, and have always been a natural with firearms."

 "I can see that," He says, "You didn't seem to falter on if you were aiming properly at all," He smiles, absentmidedly shuffling a deck of cards

 She smiles. "Again, I've had years of practice, and this gun has a built-in aiming guide." She gestures to the aiming sight on the end of the barrel.

 "Pretty impressive." He says, pulling out a card, "Say, why don't i show you my own trick?" He offers

 She smiles. "Sure. Why not."

 "Alright, pick a target," He says, making a sweeping arm motion across the field

 She thinks for a moment before lifting up the lid slightly. Though she doesn't seem to wince when the air makes contact with her skin, she pokes her tiny hand out and pats his before slipping hers back in the jar. "Ok..." She says and smiles from ear to elfish ear

Anything else you want to tell me?

 She shakes her head and smiles "I would be happy to serve you sire"

 They smile. "Good to hear... So what do you know about your... Condition? The reaction with air?"

 "My skin sorta melts when in contact with air "

 "You know nothing else concerning it?"

 She shakes her head "I must be honest with you, I know very little of the world around me"

 "Well don't worry. We will change that soon. Oh, and may I have a name?"

 "Kotinka" she responds
