Krigg is picking a melancholy tune on his lute (Far Away)
*Hi chest!!*
(I dont know any of these characters)
*Hi Alaric, good to see you!*
*That's fine. Marty is another warlock filling in for Krathian while he's on his vacation with Allison. Jim's the timid bugbear. Krigg is a new character, an elven paladin/zealot.*
*Nice to see you too!!*
Rija sniffs the air, hopping off the roof and heading towards the smell of codfish
Nervous sweat stands out on Jim's brow, as he wipes his forehead with his hairy forearm and turns to fry potato slices, turning his attention away from the fish.
*Description please?*
*She's (atleast appearing to be) a human women of egyptian decent, with ebony black hair and yellow eyes, currently dressed in fine clothes*
Rija comes up to the grill/oven/ fryer and trys to steal a fish
He whirls around to check on the fish, freezing upon noticing Rija "Oh...Hi there..."
She freezes as well, "Hi...."
He clears his throat, "Did you... want a fish?"
She slowly nods
He grins and happily dishes a few fillets with a small wicker basket of chips. “All ye had ta do was ask, it’s nice ta see someone appreciates me cookin’”
"I'm not really used to... talking to people here, so i kinda just... went for it," She replys sheepishly, taking a bite of the fillet
“‘At’s alright. Neither ‘m I.” He says, sitting across from her on a stool and watching her eat.
She continues eating, "This is good, i've never had fish before, atleast not cooked."
“Thank you. Where’re you from?”
"I used to live in a desert area in a small.... village of sorts."
“Sounds nice. I’ve always wanted to see th’ desert. I grew up in th’ woods, lots o’ rain, not a lot o’ sun”
"Its very dry. And hot, but we did fine there." She says
“I can see that,” he says, noticing her clothing. He chuckles, “Ye look like a Queen.”
"Well thank you," She smiles, chuckling a bit, "We had a good amount of silk production back home, and me and...... I was part of a group of higher regard than the common folk."
He chuckles, gesturing to his patched apron and baggy trousers, “And I, clearly, am not.”
"Well, maybe you just haven't bought clothes in a while."
“True, but I’m still on the bottom of th’ pile, so ta speak,” he says, “Not complainin’ though, I like it here, it gets too complicated up there fer my likin’”
"Fair, stuff always gets complicated." She sighs, finishing the food, "Thanks for the meal."

“Me pleasure miss,” he sweeps his rumpled newsboy cap off his head in a bow. “I’m guessing things got complicated back home,” he says, turning to check on the rest of the fish.
"If war is complicated, then yeah." She nods, "Very complicated, and more of a civil war if anything."
“A civil war, eh?” He says, memories creasing his brow. “Is ‘at why yer here? Hiding out?”
'I..... i didn't want to be there anymore. Its pretty normal for us to have twins when we're born, and almost everyone grows up to be either a warrior or part of the army. Usually both." She says, looking like she's not paying as much attention as she remembers stuff, "I was... 16 when the civil war was first starting. Me and my brother both helped the people controlling the army, since thats really what we were supposed to do. We were sent with others to battles and...." She stops
“I see.” He looks down at the dishes in his hands, as if trying to remember something, before giving up with a sigh and washing it. “Sorry miss, didn’t mean to bring up painful memories.”
"Its not really something i forget." She says, looking up at him, "Its not your fault anyways."
“S very kind of ye miss.” He continues the scrubbing, speaking reluctantly “I had a brother, once…. I think. S’all real fuzzy.” He looks at the dishes sadly, his ratty, very pierced ears drooping
"Got some sort of memory loss?" She asks
“Yeah, I guess.” He sniffs, “A couple months ago I found a lot o gaps in me memory.” He chuckles sadly. “Mum always said I had holes in me head.”

This is ItsNotAChest’s alternate, so no some random psychopath hasn’t stolen their storylines/posts. Or maybe I did. Who knows…
