Finally the waterworks begin, as Yacatl turns away from Yazrin, not wanting to burden their friend. "Thank you... thank you for being here for me."
Yazrin smiles slightly and turns Yacatl back to face him before hugging him again. "Of course, my friend."
"I'm sorry for burdening you... I'm sorry for being such a kid at heart..." He says, no long crying, just melancholic
He chuckles wryly. "It's no burden my friend. As for you being a kid at heart, I think everything would be better, in all the worlds, of not people kept a childlike attitude." He says with a smile.
They smile slightly, leaning into the Drow. "So... um... I guess you should tell me your story now."
He chuckles. "I was the firstborn son of Matron Har'mantil Tlin'Orrza, Matron Mother of House Tlin'Orrza, then the 18th house of Menzoberranzan. I had two older sisters, both of the high priestesses already. At the age of 20, I was sent to Melee-Magthere, the Drow school of fighters, and regularly ranked in the top 5 in the grand melee every year. I was the pride of my house, and once I graduated, was given the position of Weapon Master of my house."
"Understood. Menzoberranzan seemed like... well a bit city with all the drawbacks and none of the upsides. Although, to be fair it is probably the best trading city in the underdark." Yacalt comments, listening
He chuckles. "Indeed it is." He sighs, taking a deep breath before continuing. "By the time I was 70, about 50 years after I graduated from Melee-Magthere, we had... Eliminated a half-dozen houses above ours, climbing to the rank of twelfth in the city astonishingly fast. Some of the lower ruling houses were even beginning to worry. We had 250 soldiers the I trained myself, 20 wizards including my brother who was a master of Sorcere, the school of wizards, and a like number of priestesses along with my now 4 sisters, all of whom were high priestesses." He sighs. "But we weren't the only house climbing the ranks fast; only a few houses behind us was the equally ambitious House Barrison Del'Armgo led by Matron Mez'barris Armgo, a high priestess in the highest favor of Lloth..."
They nod slowly, waiting for Yazrin to continue, not wanting to interrupt their friend
"We knew it only a matter of time before she sweet her sights on us. After all, of she eliminated our house, one that rivals some of the ruling houses in power, then she would surely be allowed a shot of the ruling council." He sighs. "We were right, but we weren't prepared for it in the least when it came." He pauses. "Matron Mez'barris Armgo used some of her wealth, most of which she gained from those houses she conquered, to hire the help of Jarlaxle and the rest of Bregan D'earthe. With the addition of those forces, House Barrison Del'Armgo swept through our defenses like we weren't there."
Yacatl nods in understanding, gently motioning Yazrin to lean on them. "I guess it is my turn to comfort."
He chuckles. "Thank you, my friend, but I've had over 300 years to move past those events." He says with a slight smile. "I was the sole survivor of the nobles, and that only because Jarlaxle had heard of me, and recruited me into Bregan D'earthe. After all, it was live as a member of that shadowy organization or die. Wasn't a hard decision." He take another breath. "Again, I quickly climbed the ranks, becoming a lieutenant in Bregan D'earthe within about 20 years. I continued serving as the head scout for another 50 years before I realized that this lifestyle felt... Empty. I tried to break away and leave cleanly, but there's always loose strings. My former friends turned and started hunting me, as I still had a bounty on my head. I was a heretic, after all, having turned and forsaken Lloth. Killing me, by the thoughts of my evil kin, should bring the favor of Lloth."
Yacatl thinks for a moment. "So, if you died, then the bounty on your head would be lifted?"
He chuckles. "Only if my kin knew I was dead." He sighs. "I spent the next 20 years on the run before I was captured. I was imprisoned in Velkynvelve, along with many other prisoners of various races, but eventually we escaped, partly thanks to the distraction a group of chasmes and vrocks provided." He chuckles. "The next year was me and these new friends running from the high priestess who was in charge of Velkynvelve while trying to get to the surface and survive the sudden explosion of demons wandering around the Underdark."
*Let me guess, out of the abyss?*
"Mmm... Okay. And how close are your kin to finding you?"
*Yep.*
"I have no clue, but probably a long way off, considering I accidentally walked through a portal to end up here." He says with a chuckle.
Yacatl doesn't laugh, thinking through the situation at hand. "What would you think about 'faking your own death' just without the faking part?"
He shakes his head immediately. "No, no need. I can handle anything they'd throw at me, with the possible exception of a Retriever, but this require the highest favor of Lloth to get. Even the high priestesses are scared of me now, considering I myself have killed at least a half-dozen of them, and a like number of yochlols."
"Oh... nevermind then. I was going to use a clone spell to get them off your trail but now... well that all seems silly."
He laughs. "They have ways to know if it was the real me anyways, my friend. Besides, Lloth wants ME, and will easily be able to tell the difference between a clone and myself." He smiles. "But thank you for the offer, my friend."

Yacatl shakes his head. "If Lloth wants you, then pelage yourself to Eilistraee or a different god. What would happen is you would be killed, I would destroy your skull, and then you would come back via the clone which does not create two versions of you at one time."
He laughs. "I'm already a follower of Eilistraee." He pulls out a simple silver chain with a crescent moon over a sword for the pendant. "Which makes me hunted even more. And it's not my devotion Lloth wants anymore, it's my soul. She wants to torture me. If I'm sacrificed by one of those priestesses, no matter what form I'm in, there is a chance I may yet have to face her."
"And what if they believe you are dead? What if we have you die in the phlogiston, and have you come back to life in a material plane without lloth? Like Ravnica."
He shrugs. "Lloth is continuing to expand her influence, my friend. She won't rest until she is worshipped on every world. I'd rather face a threat that I know is here than one that may show up at some point. Also, I'd rather my children, if I ever have any, grow up having to deal with her corruption so that they will be strong enough to resist."
The Xotl cuts in “look, I think Morininig or whatever makes a point, I don’t think it would have made a difference. My name’s Fracture by the way”
*Meroving never shared his name*
"Nice to meet you, Fracture. You may call me Tohono."
*okay then*
”Greetings Tohono” Fracture replys
*I desperately need an excuse to get my characters away from each other, I can’t continue to rp all of them in the same setting, at once*
Meroving offers a hand to shake. "And greetings to you as well." The Goliath turns to the two other (tort and chuddle). "Mind if I send you two back to the tavern?"
“Thanks for your newfound sense of help” Tort says gruffly “well, if you need my help, ask the tavern keeper for trinket, he’ll be there whenever you may need it”
"Sure." Tort and Chuddle get set back to the tavern, although unlike normal teleportation they feel like they have traveled temporally rather then spatially.
"So, guess it is just you and me."
*for future reference, it’s chobble not chuddle*
”so Tohono, mind I ask what brought you to the end of the world?” Asks Fracture

*Lol...I technically have something like 15 different characters in here, but rarely RP as more than two of them at a time. You can have all three characters here, and just not rp all of them at any given time, or have them interact with different characters.*
