Something wrong, little mortal?
Staring is rude. And I'm not mortal. Not anymore.
A glance is hardly a stare.
What do you want?
To win the Blood War, of course.
Vengeance doesn't seem like such an impossible goal anymore...
What about me caught your attention?
You were glaring at me earlier.
I don't like fiends. In an ironic twist...the creatures I kill come back as Devils to fuel your pathetic Blood War. I hate the Hellspawn. He knew my culture was focused on the delicate art of death. Now I have to kill my enemies twice...
I don't have much lost love for him either.
Again, there's more irony. He brought me back, promising me revenge and a spot in the Heavens with my clan and family if we were to succeed. He is crude and without honor... but he isn't stupid. I shouldn't be surprised. All Devils are the same way.
Not really. He's cruder then I am, at least.
Are you two panning to overtake Entropy?
I'm not planning anything with him, nor am I planning on doing any fighting here.
Then why are you here instead of fighting alongside your kin?
We were briefly recalled to task that does not require my aid. I'm using that time to do something of importance to me.

Soldaer's gaze hardens, and his eyes narrow slightly. "Who are you talking to Avery?"
"Um.......... no one?"
Soldaer has a sad smile on his face at that response. "I know you're communicating telepathically with someone. I just don't know who." To placate any fear, he quickly adds, "This is a precaution I've always had on my room. I know when there's any telepathic communications taking place in my room, although I never know who with." He again smiles sadly, "My world is dangerous, and I've made plenty of enemies who would gladly hire someone to try and assassinate me. I'm sure someone in your profession would understand that kind of precaution."
"Well, they haven't said anything about wanting me to kill you,"
Soldaer does relax at this, but you can see he's still suspicious, or at least curious. "Well, that's good, because I do like you." He nods to the heads mounted above the mantle of his fireplace. "Those are all creatures I either helped kill, or killed myself, so you can tell I am a formidable warrior. I would hate to have to hurt you, which would definitely happen if you had been told to kill me."
Soldaer takes a breath and relaxes a little more after taking another sip of his Feywine. "You still didn't tell me who you are communicating with though. If you aren't here to kill me or cause me harm, and the one you are communicating with hasn't told you to do so, then you should have nothing to hide."
"Is that a threat?" Avery asks, "Or a genuine question." They say, hand twitching lightly in their seat
"A genuine question," Soldaer says, obviously surprised and taken aback. "I already told you that I like you kid. I won't ever intentionally harm you, unless you intentionally harm me or one of my friends."
"You seem nice sir, but i can't exactly trust that statement without full proof." Avery says, standing up as nonchalantly as possable
"You mean something like this?" As he says that, he stands up, unbuckles his sword belt, slides it off, and puts it in the chest at the foot of his bed.
"Yeah, i guess that works."
Soldaer walks back over to his seat, and sits back down, visibly uncomfortable. "I hate being without my weapons, but if it puts you at ease and helps to prove my intentions, then I guess it's worth it."
"Well, thanks for that. What would you want to know?"
"The only thing I wanted to know right now was who you were talking to. After that, I will tell you anything you want to know about myself."
Soldaer's gaze hardens, and his eyes narrow slightly. "Who are you talking to Avery?"
