Phantom in on the grass outside, enjoying some sunlight.
Elendon is at the bar, eyes still glowing with holy power.
Avery peeks into the room
Soldaer is laying on his bed, deep in thought apparently. Shade is barely visible in the shadows of a corner, but she is looking right at Avery, her eyes wide and slightly curious.
Avery slips in quietly, moving over to shade as quietly as he can:34
Shade watches him. A sigh comes from Soldaer. "Hello Avery." His voice holds a mix of emotions; happiness, fear, relief, sadness... all at the same time.
*Shade was watching, and has a permanent telepathic link with Soldaer...*
Avery freezes for a second, patting shade on the back of the neck, "U-um, hi."
Shade purrs, shaking Avery a little.
Soldaer slowly climbs out of bed, that same mix of emotions apparent on his face. "I...I..." He's simply at a loss as to what to say.
Avery sorta hides behind shade as soldaer gets up, a small amount of fear mixed in with the normal calmness
Soldaer sighs, shaking his head slightly, before walking over to his store of alcohol and pulling out the strongest he can find, which happened to be Desmianian Fire Whiskey. He moves over to the table and chairs at the foot of his bed, plopping down in one and pulling out a glass. His entire attitude seems...almost depressed.
Shade turns her head to face Avery, her eyes completely nonjudgmental. Avery, he's hurting after what happened. He wishes he could undo it, but unlike Phantom, Soldaer can't simply wish that things never happened and make it so. Shade's tone conveys her worry for Soldaer. Please, talk to him.
Avery looks at shade, confused, He hurt me.... i don't know if i can just instantly forgive him for that
Soldaer looks at the glass, as if contemplating it, before setting it aside and drinking straight from the bottle.
Shade gently bumps her head into Avery. I know...I was there, remember? I was just too slow to stop it. She sighs. He was the one who called Phantom and told him to help you. At least talk to him, Avery. He needs that much. He nearly broke after what happened. With that, Shade lies back down, and seemingly tries to go to sleep.
O-ok..... i can try.
After a few moments, avery says something, "You look bad."
Soldaer nods, taking another swig of the whiskey. "Yeah, I am, Avery." He shakes his head, sighing. "I truly wish I had never done that. I was hurt, a bit angry with you, and furious with Xorius for making you do something like that." Soldaer turns to face Avery, nearly on the verge of breaking into tears. "Kidnapping is wrong, even if you didn't mistreat her."
"Whats kidnapping?" He asks
Soldaer sighs. "Taking someone away from their home, without their permission. It especially applies to those under the age of 16-18 in most worlds." Soldaer sighs again, before taking another long swig from the bottle.
"Oh."
"Look, Avery, I'm not angry with you at least not anymore. Still absolutely pissed at Xorius for making you do this, and a bit at myself for doing what I did, but not at you." He sighs, turning away from Avery. "I understand if you can't forgive me yet, but I hope you will someday." His voice was cracking a little as he said that.
Avery walks over and knocks the bottle out of his hand, "There, we're even," He says with a smile
Soldaer looks at the bottle in disbelief, then at Avery in mock anger. "How dare you!" he says, a smile slowly growing on his face. He slowly starts laughing. You know what, I don't even care that that cost over 400 gp!
"Hey, its payback," He grins
Soldaer laughs. "400 gp bottle of Fire Whiskey that I can easily replace for your forgiveness? I'll take that trade! now come over here! I think I have another bottle if you want to try some!" He says with a wink.
*Child.... cant drink alcohol legally...*
*On his world, basically if above 14 or so, they are legal. Different customs and such.*
Krathian is sitting in his room, struck by a sudden feeling of reminiscence. He closes his eyes breathing deeply, collapsing into his chair, crushing the shot glass that he clutches in his hand like the last hook on which the heavens hang. The glass shards cut the skin of his left hand to ribbons, and the noxious spirits it contains mix with the blood that flows from it. He doesn't feel it. The flames of the hearth flicker before him. He doesn't see them. Instead, he sees that ... place. Horrible, even for him. His white eyes stare into the corner like he's looking at a ghost. "Ejukthranahuil" he whispers to himself. Q'ilbrith watches him from the corner, shifting uncomfortably.
Fin is chopping firewood.
Turin is polishing his glasses and squinting at a small hide map on the table before him.
*Me who is in boredom*
The ground cracks as a gatekeeper appears from the ground, its bubbling neck stubs blows bubbles of black acid as it walks directly into a tavern door.
*From the glass planes, right?*
Krathian partially rouses himself from his stupor at Q'ilbrith's behest on seeing the gatekeeper. He glares suspiciously at it, trying to ascertain its reason for being there.
It tilts its neck around as the acid dispels, a human eye can be seen, shoved in the windpipe of the neck. The eye moves like it normally would and blinks like it normally would but it was rather creepy to the sight.
"Begone from this place, foul creature," he says, drying the blood off of his hand.
It stares at the window and directly at Krathian. It body begins to vibrate as suddenly its at Krathian's door.
He sighs, "What do you want?"
The eye rolls around as if it were rolling its well.... eye (s). "Stuck, Stuck."
"What is, your eye? Or are you stuck here?"
"S T U C K" it hisses
"Well, that's just maddeningly unhelpful."
"Your unhelpful" it hissed. This was a rogue Gatekeeper, it had a mind of its own and usually yelled insults at people.
Krathian rubs the bridge of his nose. "How can I help you if you won't tell me what you need help with. Do you need to return home?"
It continues to sit in the doorway of krathian room, it stares at him, wagging its dripping tail
He narrows his eyes and gives him the trademark Krathian 'Hard Stare'
"This won't work" Q'ilbrith tells him
"Of course it will, the hard stare always works." Krathian responds
"The hard stare never works, and stop calling it that, its as if you think you have some superpower."
"I and my hard stare are offended"
"You irritate me to no end."
"Thank you,"
*The insane are now my favorites*
It continues to just stare before walking into krathians room and sits on the flor

*Attempt 2* A very... Odd silhouette approaches the tavern. They seem to have vitiligo, and are.. Mismatched. 2 different kinds of ears, 2 different eyes, clothing thats a mix of armor, common clothes, and everything in between. They have small horns, and 2 wings that have the feathered look of an angels, but theyre black with the insides electric blue. They carry 2 axes on their back and wear a top hat.
Elendon turns towards this newcomer, watching them. *Truesight!*
Theyre a changeling, with studded leather on. Though... They do seem to be actually flying
Interesting. Haven't met many Changelings that can fly in their true form before. He says.
(... Hello? Who exactly is this?)
Elendon Starguide, Patron God of Adventurers and General of the Angelic Armies.
(Oh, another god in the tavern? Huh..)
Another one?
(Theres been some before... Auril was in the Lesta one)
The Frostmaiden? Interesting indeed. The Changeling gets a telepathic smile from Elendon. Well, Auril is extremely weak compared to myself. I am in the second tier of my world's pantheon, only under Stargazer, the Creator, in power. There's not a hint of bragging in his tone. It is purely factual as he says this.
(Huh... Interesting... Well, Im Nox. As of the past few days...)
*NOX!! Ohhhhh....Soldaer's gonna be having fun when he meets him, considering he knows Operation E!*
Pleasure to meet you, Nox. Elendon says. Care to join me at the bar? He directs Nox's gaze to himself. His armor gleams, and the runes engraved into it seem to faintly glow with a holy light.
(Sure! Though... Cant really drink right now) he walks over
Elendon shrugs at that. Up to you. I can't exactly get drunk, so.... He laughs, before taking off his helmet. Long, pure white hair tumbles down to about halfway down his back, and it is now obvious that he is, or was when he was mortal, a Twilight Elf like Soldaer. He blinks, and the blinding light in his eyes fades, revealing revealing them to be crystal-blue.
A few of of Nox's strands of hair shift, copying his exactly in those small spots
Elendon chuckles slightly at this. Interesting form you chose Nox. Most Changelings don't try to bring attention to themselves.
(I just like having a... Me to be. Mostly just representing many people I meet. Sometimes an ear, sometimes an eye, sometimes hair, sometimes what I wear... Its pretty fun making a 'mask')
Elendon laughs at this. Fair enough. I can't walk among the people of my world like this. It would be like have Bahamut walk the surface of the planet again.
(Bahamut?) He tilts head
Elendon turns and looks at him a bit curiously. Yes, Bahamut. The Platinum Dragon, God and Creator of the Metallic Dragons, and one of the rulers of the First age of many worlds.
Oh, yeah.... Dragon god dude.... Sorry, I dont know gods or magic very well at all
Elendon chuckles. No worries. I just wasn't sure if you were from one of the few worlds where he didn't exist for some reason.
Im from Sogel. Pretty much every god in existence has dominion there, even if they dont realize it. At least... Thats what legends say
Elendon's eyebrow raise at that. Sogel? I think I've heard of it, although can't say I've ever been there.
Whered you hear of it from? Another god?
Either from Stargazer, or from another god on one of my trips away from my world.
Huh... How long have you been at the tavern for?
Got here yesterday, I think. Noticed the growing amount of celestial power from the various angels, and came to investigate.
Celestial power? Yeah, thats a pretty constant thing..... Along with fiends. Both are pretty great!
Even the fallen angels here have hints and traces of their original powers, and that combined with the non-fallen here was enough to get my attention.
Yeah, youll tend to find anything and everything at the tavern. Gods, angels, archdevils, succubi, demon lords, fey, and more!
Very interesting, although I take it that I'm the only god here currently.
Well... I just got back, so I have no clue. E would probably know more

I used to portray Krathian, Q'ilbrith, Jim, Tara, Turin, Nathan, Tench, Finn, Alvin, and other characters in various taverns.

E would probably know more
E?
One of my friends. Enethia. Shes here often, I think....
I'll have to try and find and talk to her later then.
