She lets out a small giggle, "Is the wine getting to you already?"
Soldaer shakes his head. "You caught me off guard there, Nia, that's all." He takes a sip from his glass and tries again. "What you don't know about me, Nia, is that I'm actually the crown prince. That's why I was always so secretive." Well, at least part of it. He thinks to himself. "I hated how people always treated me like I was their better when they found out who I was."
"Oh. Well, makes sense i guess. Though i should have guessed given the chosen one stuff."
Soldaer chuckles, a little relieved, and oddly a little nervous still. He takes another sip from his glass, seeming completely unfazed by the potent liquor.
Nia smiles warmly, very fazed by the strong liquor
Soldaer chuckles, and walks over to her, casting protection from poison on her. "There you go, Nia, now you won't be getting drunk on me." he says with a laugh.
"Thats jhalf the fun though," She smiles, "But thanks."
"Another time maybe." He says with a grin. "although, I may have a bottle or two of something that will circumvent my spell if you really do want to get drunk this time."
"Naaah, might as well stay sober so we can catch up."
"Exactly. Fun can come another time." He says with a laugh, moving back to his seat, as Shade moves to close the door.
"So, where did you go after you left?" She asks
"After I left? If you mean when I disappeared while chasing one of those bands of orcs out of the area, here, but that was only about three or four months ago." He says, taking another sip from his glass.
"Yeah, what's been happening with you?"%
"Oh, nothing too much. Made some unusual friends here. Enethia, a wizard, Atemos, a human-turned demon lord, and several other. My old friend Phantomizakell is here too. He's getting married in only two days now, actually, if you can believe it."
"The dragon right? Glad he's getting hitched"
"Yep. He's only, you know, over three thousand years old." Soldaer says with a laugh.
"I'm only in my early 200s, its hard to remember that."
"You and me both, Nia," Soldaer says with a laugh. "Anyways, where have you been keeping yourself, lately? And did you seriously leave our village just to come find me?" He asks with a twinkle in his eyes.
"Course i did. You're one of my best friends, so why wouldn't i?" She smiles, "I've been stopping at a tavern when i run outta supplies, but i tend to sleep anywhere safe. Bit different from home."
Soldaer smiles, honestly touched. "Well, now that you've found me, what are you going to do? I mean, I honestly like it here."
"I can stay here for a while, if thats alright with you."
Soldaer smiles, his eyes flashing a little. "I'd love that, Nia."
She grins, "Glad to see ya mate."
"You too, Nia. It's been far too long." He grins right back. "I can get you a room here, Nia. I may not claim my rightful shares of the royal treasury right now, but I do have a dragon's hoard of wealth. Or...you could stay in my room for a while If you'd rather have a taste of home."
"I wouldn't mind rooming with you," She says happily
Soldaer grins. "Great! Also, how would you feel about being my +1 to Phantom's wedding?" He asks, an unusual twinkle in his eyes, one the Nia can't quite place.
"I'd be honored to join ya," She nods, tilting her head at the twinkle
