I don't think so. Gaster is in entry 17, but Sans has been writing the entries since, I believe, entry 5.
But if Sans is a fraction of Gaster's personality given form, then..... What if Sans and Papyrus were always there? Maybe Gaster has split personalities, and when he was scattered across realities, those two fragments of his mind gave themselves the names of Sans and Papyrus? Maybe Entry 17 is Gaster's "Papyrus Half" addressing his Sans half and Alphys?

My brain hurts... something that always stood out to me in Undertale was that Sans said that junior jumble was "for baby bones." Not baby skeletons, baby bones. Then I remembered those trees that grow new trees from their broken branches. What if the "Gaster is Sans father" theories were TRUE, and Sans and Papyrus grew from his broken bones in this manner? Also this would eliminate the need for a mother.

Would that work, though? We assume that Gaster's a skeleton, but is he? There's a wide variety of monsters in the Underground, so I don't see why segmented hands and cracks in your face immediately labels you a skeleton.

True, true. But no other monster has skin that white. He also has rounded hands indentical to Sans's hands, except without the holes. Also he has hollow eyes that have dots appear in them, juuust like Sans.
Let's move to a less brain-explosion-inducing question: What's up with Frisk's eyes?
What do you mean? They just squint a lot.
Thats what I thought! What if the narration and the CHECK descriptions are Chara telling Frisk what they can't see because they're myopic (which I relate to)? Aww, I knew Chara was good after all!
Speaking of which, that's the million-GOLD question: Is Chara the narrator? There's tons of evidence for it, including Laughing or Heckling the Snowdrake's Mother amalgamate, the mirror in the Genocide route, the bathtub description in the True Lab, and on and on. What do you think?

I don't know enough about Chara to answer that question. I mean, the bathtub description? That's going super obscure! I'm afraid I don't know enough to help you there.

The bathtub with the weird tentacle thing that shakes around. When you open it, it's empty and the Green Key's inside it. The description is "Just an empty bathtub." Makes it seem like Chara is trying to console Frisk, whose motion slows greatly while approaching the bathtub, probably afraid.

i personally think Chara is the narrator, just because i feel like there isn't really anyone else who talks like that or would make sense in this role. On a related note, do you think Chara is the one who interrupts and "deletes" your vessel at the beginning of ch1 of deltarune?

Something tells me Gaster is the one that takes you through the vessel creation process, but the discarding was Toby Fox. He wanted to make the message of Deltarune loud and clear: You're choices don't matter. Susie neglects to let you answer certain questions, and the route you take doesn't impact the main story much, if at all. Even all the way to the final fight of Chapter 1, with the King moving the screen around with his hook, makes you remember that you aren't in control here. The vessel sequence is just a harsh introduction to this ongoing theme.

Yeah, I think Chara interrupts it, since Toby Fox is the Annoying Dog, who does not have powers like that. Also in the Japanese version, the scripts used for the person who discards the vessel is the same as for Chara in the Genocide Run's end.
Well, with all the evidence on the Genocide and True Pacifist route, it seems very likely that Chara is the narrator. But if that's true, then does that mean Chara is... good? The fans hate them, they seemingly killed the entire Underground, so could it be true??! Find out soon on... THE RAD UNDERTALE CULT FOR NERDS!

By that, I meant that we'd figure it out collectively. So, what's the evidence for evil chara?

wiped out the entire underground and presumably the universe, wants to watch the world burn, betrays people, encourages Frisk/the player in a genocide route, etc.
