Well, with all the evidence on the Genocide and True Pacifist route, it seems very likely that Chara is the narrator. But if that's true, then does that mean Chara is... good? The fans hate them, they seemingly killed the entire Underground, so could it be true??! Find out soon on... THE RAD UNDERTALE CULT FOR NERDS!
By that, I meant that we'd figure it out collectively. So, what's the evidence for evil chara?
wiped out the entire underground and presumably the universe, wants to watch the world burn, betrays people, encourages Frisk/the player in a genocide route, etc.
I found a theory a couple years ago that I really liked.

True. Everyone says Chara is evil and killed everyone, but they never actually did... anything. The real villain of Undertale is you. You forced Frisk, an innocent and likely neglected child to murder thousands. Remember the end of the Genocide Route? "Through YOUR actions, I realized the purpose of my reincarnation." YOUR actions. See Frisk anywhere in this happy little meeting? Nope. No more pinning YOUR crimes on (mostly) innocent children. YOU are the true villain of Undertale AND Deltarune, by possessing Frisk and Kris and making them act against their will. Which brings up a whole other thing: If Chara isn't an evil villain, is Kris not an evil Roaring Knight? It's basically indisputable that Kris is the Knight, but why? Are they evil? Or is it something else...?
Well.... let's lighten the mood with some good-old cannibalism! And by that, I'm asking the question of 'Does Muffet really use spiders to make the cider and donuts?'

Also worth asking: What does Kris stand to gain from opening Dark Worlds? What would their motives be?? Also, Ralsei's worldview is clearly heavily biased, he's basically been brainwashed his whole life to just wait for these lightners to 'fulfill his purpose'. Maybe the Roaring isn't bad necessarily?? I'm not sure, though, all we have to go off of is Ralsei's prophecy..

but I think he's still good, and that he's not going to be a villain, but our opponent, he seems to be conversing with kris when the player isn't there, like when we watch the ferris wheel moment (one of my fav scenes btw), or watch Susie on her own in the basement of card castle. I'm sure rasei wants to give kris freedom, so he'll have to stop us, he's doing a good thing. But to us, he's the Bad Guy. Now, I have to find the video(s) I got that from.

I think Ralsei and Kris are working together on the whole Roaring Knight thing. Two clear examples: Ralsei says he "felt a dark presence" when he arrives in Cyber World, yet Cyber World and Castle Town aren't connected at all. Also, when Kris doesn't wonder how Noelle and Susie are doing and Susie returns without the Ferris Wheel scene, Ralsei says "Wait, we were supposed to-" Kris has become more heavily controlled by the Player, and Ralsei wanted to discuss what will happen tomorrow with the next Dark Fountain, e.g. the next chapter. Boom.

Two things: First, we know Dark Fountains produce smoke so it's unlikely that Queen would be able to see the Knight clearly. The things Kris stands to gain? A ton. Dark Worlds are magical places with awesome friends and powers, where you never really have to worry about family matters like divorce or brothers going to college, just rad and dangerous adventures like saving the world from evil jesters and salesmen. For Kris, who has never fit in, it would be a paradise. Also, the harder a Dark World is to play through, the more likely you, the evil symbiote controlling them, will just quit. So yeah, lots of good reasons to open Dark Fountains for Kris.

Guys, I came up with an idea for the most AMAZING puzzle!
Lasers? Conveyer belts? LASERS ON CONVEYER BELTS, LET'S GIVE PAPYRUS A SEIZURE
Hear me out: You have to push a box through a maze, onto a conveyor belt. THEN, you need to stay behind the box to avoid the blue lasers, while avoiding the orange laser that the box can't block. THEN, after that, you have to push the box through ANOTHER MAZE to a goal while dodging a moving blue laser AND Bloxers patrolling around the maze!
