He sighs and stands up, stretching. "What I am saying is, if I am saying anything, the reason the war started was because chaos and law do not mix. It will always turn out bad, no matter what lense it is looked through." He leans down, lifting Riotan's chin to meet his burning orange eyes.
He steps back and lets them speak for themselves. Many voices rise as one, talking of how he has stood by them through thick and thin, how he has saved their elders, their children, their spouse's, and how he has brought them money and food and food health.

William has somehow slipped into the kitchen in the tavern. He appears to be making cranberry walnut muffins, looking tired beyond belief. He hasn't slept in two days and it is slightly catching up with him.
"I grow tired of repeating myself, dear." Says the cutting tone of Saphuno's voice from behind him.
He hisses and turns around "Hey.. hi.. sorry."
"Back from the grave and still causing issues. If I didn't know better, I'd say you liked me." She sighs, sitting down on a chair. "Do you know what's been happening here lately?"
He shrugs "I don't like women." He replies and chuckles "Men are more my type."
"Well, let me catch you up, slick. In the main portion of the tavern, there's been fighting between your ex-apprentice and some poor old b*stard who's family is dead or somethin'. And get this! Your name has come up. Several times. And to make matters worse, the golem I bought is misbehaving, and Reese's annoying sisters showed up. And you're here, stealing from me and using my kitchen and ingredients." She sighs, pulling her hair.
He turns his head and laughs "You think you are the only one having issues. Cute." He rolls his shoulders "I am waiting for my restaurant to be rebuilt at the moment and I needed.. something to take my mind off of.." he becomes quiet at that moment before shaking his head "Nevermind."
"No, no, Mr 'My Life's Worse'. Tell me your troubles, I told you mine." She sighs.
"I haven't really felt.. attraction towards anyone in my life. My emotions as a person have always been turned off because of who I was. Never developed like they were supposed to. The last relationship I had was twenty years ago to a woman whom I had dated in college. I mostly dated her because she asked me in front of others and it would single me out as different by the others if I didn't. We broke up because she said I was too cold, too unfeeling which was true in some way..." He sighs, tapping his fingers one at a time against the wood of the table "recently, I have been grappling with the fact I may, possibly, have had feelings for Felix. He is someone I care about in a way I do not for others. Maybe it is just because I have not felt like that in a long time and my first thought is 'is this love?' when it could be not."
"He doesn't seem to me like the type to warm up to anybody in such a way." She nods to the tavern, the sound of yelling fading out. "Even if that's the case, for you anyway, I might not tell him such a thing, anytime soon. Maybe not ever, considering the fact that he killed you. I really don't care either way, as long as he's happy and does his job without incident. He's a good kid, and I dunno what I'd do without him." She sighs. "Breaks my heart to know what he's going through. And that's why you can't show up here and cook without asking me." She points a finger at him aggressively. "I'm not gonna be the bad guy here, and if that means making sure I don't play devils advocate and make sure you cant be here, then I'm going to."
"Honestly, I am okay if he does not and I do not ever plan on telling him. Things... Broke between us when I decided to behave foolishly but remember this and only this." He turns "He is flawed, just like all of us, and when you only see him in a good light you ignore everything he has hurt and burnt like a hypocrite. Blind as any bat who is shined in the eyes with a flashlight. If you cannot accept that fact, then you are honest to God an idiot and no better than I." He smirks "Also, the kitchen is public access. It is not a privately owned business as people come in and out all day."
"...maybe. I guess our people aren't that different. So why the war then?"
"Do they?"
"Because, even if evil, chaos will find a way to render any sort of empire apart." I will hunt you down, flay you alive, and turn you into a meal for only me to devour. Do you understand me?"
