Mother Misery is taking care of three more patients with the weeping pox.
Vanilla is bored, looking Half asleep on a sofa next to the fire, sipping some hot cocoa.
Darius continues to help them, although silently, comforting them and removing as many pox as they can.
Tim sits next to them. He appears to be a small child with plastic skin, his eyes swirling with wild magic.
“The weeping pox is really deadly… kills within three or so days, spreads like wildfire, and can stay dormant in your body, still spreading, for up to a month before you show symptoms.” she mutters to Darius.
Vanilla yawns, grumbling something akin to, ‘five more minutes,’ since they’re half asleep, and they hand Tim a hot cocoa.
He nods along with them “I will make sure to prevent it from spreading to myself. I don’t need to be the cause of any more deaths.” He mutters back, breaking off swells, leaving revealed but not harmed skin underneath.
They takes the hot cocoa in their hands, chuckling like a child does, sipping it softly as they politely sit next to them, radiating intense magical power.
“Good… but if you do catch it, I will heal you. And there will be no ifs, ands, or buts about that, i can’t get sick, so it’ll just be me feeling the pain instead of spreading it.”
Vanilla, curious, turns their head to Tim, trying to see what sort of magical power they’re radiating. If Tim can sense magic too, Vanilla is very, very clearly giving off an impossible amount of divine energy.
He sighs, looking to them once he finishes helping another person “Fine, I’ll let you heal me if I get sick.” He is obviously lying, and not trying to hide it as he goes to the next person.
Tim looks at them, quite surprised by the power, though he’s not able to sense his own. Vanilla can sense high levels of power, not enough to rival his own, but if Tim understood anything out it, he could easily level this entire region.

she grumbles something under her breath, before healing someone who is having a nasty fever.
It chuckles. "We are both... original. We don't have real parents. Your plastic shell isn't organic. It's not natural. No creature can grow plastic. Tell me, do you have a last name, Tim?"
Once again, shock shows in his face, along side confusion “I…” He looks down to his own hands, his fingers twitching softly “I… but my sister and brother… but my dad is…”
"A liar. He's using you. You and your siblings. You need to get them out of there. Away from him. He didn't even share his last name with you, did he? Heartless bastard." The beast doesn't seem even slightly impassioned by the terrible things it says, even though it speaks with great understanding.
Tim is continuously having his world view shattered by their simple words, unable to easily understand “Wh- what do you mean? He… he’s scary… but he says he cares about us… Tiffany and Tyler say he cares… but they…”

*I could do all three, sounds nice! But I will be a bit busy this Christmas Eve, so I might disappear. I’m making my bed right now. Maybe Mother Misery and the neighbor, Aurelia and the beast, and Vanilla and the Magus?*
*Epic!*
The Neighbor stands nearby, that distorted smile still stretched across its face. "Weeping Pox, I see. I've got something for that. Well, not a pound of cure, but an extra ounce of prevention."
A massive beast of indeterminable species with deep blue fur, colorless spiral eyes, and black ram horns lays down on Aurelia's couch. "They're going to get away, aren't they?"
From the darkness again comes a figure. A long, tattered, sleeveless robe in pure deep blue, a pale, featureless mask with a black spiral carved into it, long, barnacle-speckled arms. "So tired. Why don't you just close your eyes so you can be awake later?"

"Tiffany and Tyler... he wasn't even creative with your names. Your siblings were deceived by your father, just like you were. You need to save them. You do love your siblings, don't you? You don't want someone to take advantage of them, do you?"

Mother misery looks to the neighbor. ”Hmm?… really?” She says, suspicious.
Aurelia is just walking into her private quarters, to take a break from the festivities, when she sees the beast and hears it say that. She gasps, dropping her glass of wine. ”W-what… are you?” she yells, manifesting a rapier in her hands. She hears what the beast says, and she seems to be pretty bothered by it, though she tries to hide it.
Vanilla barely even realizes they’re there. “Mmm… yeah… that sounds nice…”

He begins nodding slowly “I… love them… they are just… scary sometimes… but he isn’t… he can’t be… he’s been taking care of us… after mom died…” He stops for a moment “Wait… I… I don’t remember how she died… it’s like… it’s missing.”
He stands up once he’s done all he can for them, cracking his neck, his arms now almost entirely stone up to the bicep.
Tim smiles back at them politely “Hello. Why do you look all tingly? If I can ask.” He asks meekly, referring to the massive amount of wild magic.
Mother misery looks to him, probably worried underneath her mask. She turns back, continuing to transfer the wounds of the sick to her.
”…tingly? Uh-…. Oh-, I’m just- a-… do you want a candy cane?”
He shakes his head at their concern, and begins walking to the sick he can’t help, using his infectious charisma to support them, trying to help them through this time through words where he cannot act.
He nods enthusiastically “I would like a candy cane, if you don’t mind.”

Mother Misery walks over to Darius, whispering in his ear, just quiet enough so nobody else in the church hospital can hear them. “I believe this might be the start of a… weeping pox outbreak.”
he proudly produces a candy cane from thin air, handing it to Tim. He snaps, and it starts snowing outside. The fire suddenly has more wood to burn, and the tavern just seems twice as cozy.

"'Course. It's an upgraded version of Detect Poison and Disease, but put into a seeing stone. The Magus made it at my request, and I can lend it to you for as long as you need it. It identifies infections before the symptoms even show up."
It chuckles, standing up and trotting over to her while avoiding the broken glass, its nose now inches away from the tip of her weapon. "The Beast. You can call me whatever you like. 'Mothman' and 'Grimm' are quite popular. I was just thinking that you need to put more focus on this investigation. Something terrible could happen if you remain this casual about it."
"Perhaps I could make the atmosphere a bit cozier. Fairy lights, animated instruments..." It moves a bit closer, as much dragging itself with its arms as walking.
"Tiffany and Tyler... he wasn't even creative with your names. Your siblings were deceived by your father, just like you were. You need to save them. You do love your siblings, don't you? You don't want someone to take advantage of them, do you?"

"You never had a mother. And as for his care?" It yawns. "One must maintain their tools to keep them functional. Has he ever asked you to do something strange, Tim?"

He nods slowly along with them, whispering back “All signs lead towards that conclusion. I can prevent it from spreading as much as I can, but I won’t be able to reach everyone.” He sighs, disappointed in himself.
They happily take the candy cane, in awe of what they care capable of as they begin to consume it, smiling happily at them, their eyes changing colors as their power seems to fluctuate.
