"I've been in the depths of the ocean for millennia. The heat and dryness alone nearly killed me. The people did."
Felix hugs Mauric tightly. "I need to share these. Can you suggest a good dish?"
It rolls until it's upside down. "I never studied demons. The other two Arms are beings of knowledge, but I am a beast of action. Demonic politics bore me, even as a fiend myself."
“They killed you? I assume it wasn’t a big deal though?”
“Only time I used them was in a sort of casserole dish I made years back at my old restaurant.”
“Politics? No no. The only thing going on down there is bloodshed and exchange. But hell, that’s all politics are anyway.”
"Not really. I lost my spelljammer, though."
"I gotta experiment with these when I get home. Thank you so much."
"Demon politics are harder to follow because they don't have political parties, meaning you don't know the exact amount each demon hates each other demon. You just have to guess which ones hate which other ones in particular."

“Shame. I have an old custom damselfly, but it’s back at my garage.”
“You’re worth it.” He squeezes Felix one last time then lets go.
“Just assume every demon hates every other demon and you’re close enough to the truth to get by.”

"That sounds nice. Hard to get good ships these days. It's like the housing market, really. They're out there, but there's a whole conspiracy to keep prices high."
"I guess I have to believe that now, huh?" He smiles.
"Fair enough. So, why haven't you killed everyone here? As a demon lord, I would imagine it wouldn't be that hard."
The Yuletide ball is over and it’s early morning in the Rippling court. Aurelia is in the Opera house Plaza, giving a speech about the events of last night. Guards are crawling around everywhere. The local newspaper’s front page is all about the supposed attempted murder, with a picture of the scene after the fact, and of the Mercier twins and the Archduchess. It doesn’t specifically make anyone suspect… but it certainly isn’t flattering.
Mother Misery is working at her hospital.
Vanilla is offering people sugar cookies, in the shape of snowmen.
*Hey, Arch! I'm making a gentleman pugilist wolfman! He's a bohemian artist from a noble family.*
*And by bohemian I mean he spends so much money on carousing and boozing that he can barely afford to live in his "studio," which is just a flophouse above a failing spider-themed grocery store. His family stopped supporting him in anything a long time ago, so he mostly makes money through a mix of pulp novel writing and "vigilante mugging."*

*how fun! He seems like an interesting character. I’m currently making… I think a demon lord? Something of the sort, named the deplorable prince. He really, really wants to be evil but accidentally makes the world a better place when he does it. He steals sins from others and absorbs them to make himself more EEVIL*

A broad-shouldered wolfman stumbles in, an almost dance-like stagger from a mix of pain and drunkenness. He has expensive clothes that with many tears in them, clearly not well-maintained. Oh, and he also has a metal pipe impaled into his shoulder, bruises all over his face, and several knife wounds on his torso. "This place free?" He slurs. "The bar threw me out, but I'm still... ouch. All over. The other hospitals said all they could gib me wuz like, painkillers, but even I know not to mix pills... and... something. What was I saying...?"

Mother Misery, her expression indecipherable with her mask, turns to look at the wolf man. “My, My… what happened?” She rushes over to him, helping him in and giving him somewhere to sit. She calls to one of her acolytes, who gasps, seeing the wolf man’s condition, and rushes towards him as well, assessing his wounds.
