“Even the greatest prodigies are still learnin’ like my daughter Omori. She’ll love ta meet ya sometime.”
He sighs again, rubbing the bridge of his nose before slapping them “I don’t care what you won’t do, I’m not going to let you starve yourself.”
“Would you like to see inside of my backpack, or do you already know of everything inside?”
"I suppose.. I've never been great with children.." he says, looking a bit worried.
"Bile' in ye heid!" He snaps "Id rather starve myself!"
"I have a faint idea of what it is, yes.' he nods.
“Don’t worry, she’ll love ya as much as I do. Don’t let yerself be intimidated by the thought.” She takes the spoon, putting it to her mouth, moaning softly at the taste “Ya should have some.”
He slaps him again, this time a backhand “Could you say that one more time?”
He tilts his head, curious “What may that idea be?”
He flicks his ears and walks over "I suppose. You are a good chef after all."
"I! Am! Starving! Myself!" He snarls "I refuse to eat a creature or a person."
"Bag of Wishing." It tilts it's head "Magically creates whatever the user wishes."
She holds up the spoon, if he tastes some, the flavors pop in his mouth, the spices, the blood surprisingly delicious. The compliment leaves her blushing softly.
He slaps them again “One more time so I can slap you again.” He says, looking into their eyes.
“Unfortunately that is wrong, though closer than you would expect. I’m impressed.”
"Oh my.. this is amazing!" He chirps, grinning "You truly are an amazing chef!"
Sable takes a step back, the slaps not really doing much to him. He holds his cheek nonetheless, his eyes angry "Leave." He snarls.
Thirteen is replacing some of the old protective glyphs over the inn with new ones.
Mauric is starting his shift at Samaritan's restaurant.
Loriche is out foraging for firewood, having set up a small fence composed of sharpened metal poles around her campsite to protect it while she's away.
Riotan is binding a tome with snakeskin, hoping that it can serve as a Book of Shadows for any future warlocks of his.
Eito is training with their shortsword, cutting down illusions of light in the deep woods.
Thirteen can smell the scent of decay coming from.. somewhere outside.
Home is in the camp, trying to busy himself with cleaning.
Samaritan keeps an eye on him, beside him, Anna sits on the ground. She is totally not thinking of killing Samaritan and Samaritan is totally not thinking about killing her.
Thirteen sets down the green dragon blood-derived ink and goes to investigate, flail and journal in hand.
Loriche returns with a massive pile of dry timber in her arms. "Hi!"
Riotan looks to them both. "Oh, what a coincidence! Good to see the two of you!"
He arrives at the source of it, the Marrow House. The door is wide open to the rather pristine and clean mansion.
He looks up and smiles "Hey, looks like you did good overall."
Anna grunts and fiddles with her hood strings. Samaritan walks over and kisses the top of Riotan's head.
Thirteen looks around warily and enters slowly, ready to act if anything jumps out at him.
"Yep! It's pretty easy to get good fuel in winter though. All the boughs are dry and dead and stuff."
Rio smiles up at Samaritan, then heads over to Anna. "How're you doing?"
Sitting on a sofa is a young man, reading. He looks up, suddenly defensive "You.. you need to leave." He said, standing up.
"What about the animals that live in them?" He asks.
She glares at Samaritan before speaking "I am fine.."
"Oh, I apologize. I was merely investigating."
"I'd never chop down a critter's home. This is just from bushes and already fallen stuff. Most of the animals around here are underground though anyway."
Rio looks between the two of them, a bit confused.

"Why are you all just standing around!? The monster! It took my baby! Somebody! Help!" It retracts its claw... and shoves it into its own ribcage with a sickening rending of fabric and the snapping of twigs. It pulls out a goat head with a pentagram drawn in the space between its eyes and horns. It finally speaks in its own voice. "Find... him."
It giggles. "Did you know that an Archfey not only has full knowledge over their domain of delight, but they can also detect anyone who broke any of the three laws? Hospitality could be broken by an attempted murder. Actually, it would have to be, regardless of the Archfey's personal beliefs. So, if the Archduchess can know all that, and hasn't told the press about it despite how bad that looks for her... what could that possible mean other than it's her, since she has no superiors to fear?"
"Thank you. Thank you so, so much Helianth. You have no idea how much this means to me." He hugs it.
She is silent for a second, deep in thought. "He took your child...? Alright, I'll keep an eye out for him. Do you know his name?"
She thinks for a moment. "In that case, she's almost certainly complicit, if not the attempted murderer herself... and to think I was starting to like her. Thank you, this helps immensely."
It curls its roots around Felix, hugging him back, not saying anything.
"No. They... took something from me. I don't know who they are. I don't even remember what I loved so much that I long for it even now. But they hunt me. I know this... goat has something to do with it.... I know it. It's familiar, and I can't stop thinking about it. I can't sleep or wake without it weighing on my mind. I need to find it."
"When I interviewed her and asked about this, she tried to threaten me into silence without even making an opposing argument. She can and will kill you if she thinks it will help, and I want to watch her squirm a bit. So be mindful of your approach."

Little babies, wild tykes, petulant teens... the grown-ups too. But sometimes, people are afraid of me."
Donn holds him "People don't deserve you then, you are beautiful." He said, suddenly golden years falling from his eyes "I am sorry.. I am so sorry. I will find who did this to you." He says between his sobs.
Egregore wipes away Donn's tears with his thumb. "You're so handsome. I almost forgot how handsome you were. Don't cry, baby."
