*I'm trying to figure out how stands work to make my own so I can at least try to roleplay in Shiver's thread this is gonna take a bit*
*I got you, so basically stands are a manifestation of someone's soul/will power. Do you have any ideas of what you want your stand to do? I'm kinda the guy to come to for this sort of thing.*

*That is hypothetically possible, but most stands don't have adverse effects on the user unless certain conditions are met, or don't have any at all. Like with Jotaro's time stop, the only issue is that if he spams it, the time stopped becomes shorter.*
*I have a name for the stand: Back into darkness by Blacklight District but I'm not sure what to have it do besides blind people*
*It could have darkness manipulation, the most recent stand I made was Bad to the Bone, I don't know it will do just yet other than allow the user to take out their own bones and use them as weapons, but I'll figure it out. You could make a character sheet and give them stuff like Darkness (The spell) and Shadow Blade. Just ideas though.*

*A stand can work like anything, it can be an item, an entity without a user, both, a concept. I think you're thinking of a Automatic stand or just stands as a whole, Automatic stands, you give it an order and it follows that order, usually those stands are more long range than most, any stand usually follows the orders of it's user, unless it's soul doesn't want to follow it's orders, which occasionally does happen, or the ability does just negatively effect the user, like SuperFly.*
