He chuckles weakly, nodding “I guess that’s true, such is life, ups and downs huh?” He sighs, rubbing his chin softly “What brings you to town Mr.Thorne?”
"Lord's Yard has been severely lacking in terms of public service to protect the citizens of the town. The Thane Foundation has sent me here from my previous post as chief inspector and detective inspector to build up the Lord's Yard into a better source of protection."
“Lacking in public service protection? If you say so, there aren’t a lot of police here, sure, but… well, you’ll see with time, this place has it’s citizens well protected, better than nearly anywhere else.”
"From what I have seen and heard, they are not. Many a time they are caught in the crossfire of issues with patrons of the tavern, killed off in senseless acts of violence, abused for personal enjoyment, and much more." He said and sat down behind the desk, fixing his tie "I intend to stop all of that."
“That may be true, at least in part. If you capable of stopping all of it I will certainly be impressed, but I’m just some old detective on his way out of this life anyway, you don’t need my approval to get a good job done.” He offers them a smoke from his pipe.
"I do not smoke, thank you for your offer though." He said and smiled slightly "I plan to have a talk with the local government about implanting a law that if citizen's homes, land, or lives are harmed, the perpetrator will be rightfully taken to court and either heavily fined or placed in jail which the Thane Foundation will provide."
“And what of those with immense amounts of wealth or local power? Allowing them to ignoring the laws entirely, the… one precent of people who can do that, as it would be a small margin, what to do with them?”
"The rich are more likely to break the law under the nose rather than a common criminal who needs money on the streets. The Thane Foundation has created a list of the richest folks in this sector of the planet and will tax them accordingly. My job is to take care of the common kinds and those who lean towards the more powerful."

“It seems you have a plan in place, let’s hope all goes well.” He puts away his pipe, leaning against the door frame “I suppose I’ll see you around Mr.Thorne, best of luck on your future endeavors.” He walks over, his journal floating to follow him.

Thorne nods and stares at his desk for a moment before standing up. He paces for a moment before looking out the window "Definitely not the same as the outpost.."
She tilts her head, slightly more interested “Partner? You having a partner would make sense.”
“Sounds like you had a fun time mate, I’ll have the finished and improved by next time you visit.”
“You don’t want to fight me, a lot of people have died trying.”
*How are you doing my dear?*
*Wow. There is a lot of mentally unstable queer furries on DND Beyond*

Salem has dubbed me Fellow Pancake of The Fox.
Henlo, I am a pan, NB, chaotic ADHD mess of a furry.
I am also a eepy eeper, who likes WoF, WC, and fire.
