Something is sprinting through the woods. It looks like a giant lump of red, opaque goop with long, gangly limbs, standing about as tall as a general store. I say standing, but it's never still, even for a moment. Remember when No-Face was rampaging through the bathhouse after Chihiro? It looks kind of like that, but red. As it reaches the town, it stops abruptly, and something inside is slung out of it as the creature melts into nothing.
The smaller blob lands with a metallic thunk. The gloop slowly drips and dissolves off, revealing the strugel underneath, sitting on a folding metal chair. He's dressed in black waders, a cheap white shirt, a red-and-white striped tailcoat, and a dented metal top hat with a wide brim that shadows his pale, gleaming eyes and the spiral patterns on his cheeks. He stretches, now completely clean and dry, and looks around, not getting up from his chair just yet.
Merabelle was doing some meditation to connect more with the forest when they sensed whatever was going on. She decided to get dressed and investigate, her distant, terrifying visage able to be seen through the shadows of the forest, her fangs sharper than daggers before revealing herself, wearing her black dress, a smile on her face “Well howdy there! I ain’t seen you ‘round here none befer!”
He flinches a bit, then stands up, taking off his helmet to reveal the wild ruffs of fluff upon his head. "Yes ma'am, I just arrived in town. Traveling light, as you can probably tell, but I had to bring a comfortable place to sit for the long journey. No weapons here, ma'am!"
She cackles at that, walking over to them, leaning down to look more closely at them, her hands on her hips “Ya ain’t gotta call me ma’am, though it sure is polite, sweetheart. My name’s Merabelle, an’ if yer lookin’ fer a comfortable place, ya should go ta the Lord’s Rest Inn, if nowhere else.”
"Legally, I'm a civilian, meaning that I can't sign up for hunts or turn in bounties. I've been repeatedly told I have the physicality of a 10-year old human boy, and that's the reason I'm not allowed to join any guilds or get a license. Of course, should some particularly problematic monsters go missing near me, they usually don't mind it."
"Fair enough," Eriol responds, frowning. "A civilian seeking to do good in the world shouldn't be restricted by petty laws and regulations. Sometimes I wonder who the true monsters are."
He shrugs. "The world is just like that sometimes. A lot of people think strugels should stay in service work. It's easy to think that we need protection, but that's why I have summons."

He fidgets with his hat, pulls a bar of chocolate out of it, then puts it back on. She notices from a brief glance that he has a toothy mouth on his left hand paw. "Thank you for the directions, Merabelle." He offers her the chocolate bar.

Her smile grows wider and more curious as she takes the chocolate. She doesn’t take off the wrapper, biting directly into the bar with it, and swallowing without difficulty “Don’t think nothin’ o’ it. If ya really wanna thank me, come visit some time, I wanna learn more ‘bout that hand o’ yers, an’ ya as a whole.”

"Oh, uh, that's just my familiar. Just, uh, watch."
He kneels down and clenches his fist hard, until it begins to shake and black liquid seeps out from between his fingers. Then he opens his hand and slams his palm down onto the ground. A long shadow slithers across the soil, then forms a pool of liquid shadow, from which thousands of arms and the screams of what must be hundreds of angry souls burst and bubble. One hand, an enormous, golden, flaming, skeletal one begins to reach from the center before the little ferretfolk squeaks in fear and lifts his hand, causing the monstrous appendage to be pulled back and the portal to instantly evaporate.
"Uh, no more demonstrations right now, I'm afraid."

She nods, satisfied with what she has seen “Don’t worry ‘bout that none either, I wouldn’t blame ya. I used ta have a familiar, a real good one too, they ain’t nothin’ like what you got, but I loved ‘em with all my heart. A crocodile, sharp rows o’ fangs, lookin’ at stuff with their cute multiple sets o’ eyes. It was a great time. I gotta get goin’ but it was nice meetin’ ya.” She says, walking off “Come by my cave some time.”

Bishop is humming to himself as he tries on different clothing. All of it either resembles a priest's robes or a plague doctors uniform. All of it looks unisex either way.

Thorne is about 5'11 though doesn't look like an Aasimar from the outside, more human than anything. He has short, but neatly cut light brown hair that forms into his light beards around his cheeks and chin. He has pure black eyes with white sclera. He wears typical Victorian era fashion.

A Lizardfolk bard is sitting in the Inn. She’s about the age of young adult, early 20s at the latest, but old enough to be drinking. She crunches down on some ribs, eating the flesh as well as the bone as she writes down some ideas for songs using stories. Her soft red scales match her clothes, her smile bright as the sun.
