Damian is working in his garden, humming to himself as he adds a few plants to hang out with the rest of their new family.
Ambrosia is reading up on the library alone. She is wearing a thin black dress, an empty glass of wine sitting at the table in front of her.
Marie is still preparing for her wedding, currently looking at the place she decided for a venue, the broken down church she found Jax in.
"you're not watering Larry enough." Sam says from nearby, approaching and crunching into an apple
In her head rings out a high-pitched ringing. It seems to echo off the walls.
Lilac is scouting the location with her, sniffing around
He turns to them with a smile, grabbing his watering can “Thank you for telling me.” He begins to water Larry “I assume you aren’t here to kill me?”
She puts down her book, closing it. Her eyes slit as she looks around for what may be there, she begins searching.
The church is mostly just abandoned, some of the walls broken down and reclaimed by nature, but under the moon it looks nothing but beautiful.
"Roots would have pierced your heart by now." they say with a smile. "Besides, you're my sisters husband, that'd be a no-no to kill you."
It rings out again, slightly painful.
"And you're sure this is safe?"
“Ah you’re family, fantastic. I would say I’m a little harder to kill than that, but that’s already been proven otherwise.” He says with a chuckle.
She goes in the direction of the nose, trying to drown out every other sound and really listen to it.
“Lilac, we are powerful, our soon to be husbands are powerful, or at least mine is, I need to meet your husband by the way, everything will be fine.” She reassures them.
A signal is coming from the woods. When it hits radios, it seems to just be garbage noise with a very mild hypnotic effect. When it hits scrying tools (such as crystal balls), however, what happens is they get an image of a kitchen with mild distortion, a lanky construct with a cubic head, antenna, and humanoid clothing explaining how to cook and how magic factors into each component, explaining the magic itself with fun and interesting props and demonstrations.
At appropriate points, the sensor cuts to the construct going out and exploring a nightmarish carnival, talking to (visibly uncomfortable) experts, performing skits, and gathering fresh ingredients related to the dish they are making. They seem to be very interested in "nature," taking the time to pull the sensor over to watch fights go down, sometimes even getting involved.
By the time the signal calms down, about 20-something minutes after the show began, they have made some decadent meal and completed a story arc that had been used as a framing device. It often ends with the construct getting attacked by dagger-toothed clowns or children with masks. Afterwards, it just shows a word in white on a black background: Loddie.
Someone is in the forest observing the robot. Cloaked in shadow, Elijah is writing notes on the show. He decides it for the best he doesn’t get close, but he lets Collin go ahead and check things out. A puddle of Liquid Metal appears in front of the construct, rippling like waves.
The show isn't live. When they go to investigate, they discover what looks like the mangled body of the cook from the show, leaning against a tree with a meat cleaver in their shoulder. His limbs lie scattered about, except for one damaged arm which is still connected. In place of any sort of blood, black, shiny tape is scattered around everywhere, and in the setting sun it's possible to see tiny images, like impossibly small and detailed paintings of the show, one after the other with only slight alterations between them, like the arm being slightly lower. Their antennas are bent, and one is snapped off halfway. Their screen is cracked, showing a black-and-white "Please Stand By" sign with a jester's mask and strange patterns.
The puddle coagulates into a legion of metal leeches, who try to get into the construct to repair it as Elijah comes out of the shadows. He pulls out all of them to assist in repairing this thing, speaking to himself “Ah mate, looks like you need a fixer upper.” He says with a chuckle, beginning to work on repairs.
*I've had a bad day. Accidentally burnt my hand, my laptop screen broke, I tripped going the stairs, had to pay fifty dollars to get my computer looked at only for them to tell me it would cost seven times to amount to fix it, got honked at while driving home, and now I have a stomach ache.*
(how can I help out?)
*Nothing you can do.*

She heads towards the graveyard with haste, moving as quickly as possible.
“Sounds absolutely wonderful, this looks like a wonderful venue does it not? Married under the moonlight, and without anyone nearby who may arrest me.”

The machine seems to rely heavily on the black tape. To say that it works like blood wouldn't be that inaccurate, but it's equally close to nerves, sending information to different parts of the body. The automaton is primarily made of some hard, off-white material with a smooth texture. After a couple minutes of repair, some of the tapes begin to turn. On the screen is a first-person view of the cook being attacked by a gnoll butcher, chopping at him with the cleaver currently in their shoulder. The footage is heavily damaged with lots of scanlines and static. The footage slows to a frame-by-frame slideshow for the final strike, stopping just before it would hit. Red text flashes on the screen. Technical Difficulties. Reboot in Progress.
