He shakes his head at the offer, grinning. "I'm preparing for a barbecue. Everyone will be allowed to cook their own meat, and that means at least someone will get burned. Surely you've seen them? Poor, innocent civilians. This is a teaching moment for them, but I need to put up at least some guardrails. If they get hurt, that's on them, but I'll still try and keep them safe and happy even when that happens."
He nods along with their words, crossing his arms in understanding and agreement before signing “The best way to learn is experience, after all, I wouldn’t be where I am now without some experience of my own.” He unwraps the bandages in his arms a little to show them some horrific burn scars that cover them in their entirety, leaving the skin looking awful.
"Oh, you poor babe. But it comes from working with transmutation, I guess. Trying to hold a humanoid back is harder than herding cats." He gestures to his strange mount, which is wrapped around a street lamp and 'singing' to a group of normal cats which have gathered around it. "That's why I try to mitigate instead of prevent. I believe that if you guys start enough wars and cause enough disasters, you'll realize how stupid it all is and turn to peace and harmony. I'm confident, actually."

He sighs, wrapping his hands back up “I don’t I’ve lived half as long as you have, but I’m twice as confident you’re wrong. There won’t ever be a lasting peace in this world as long as there is life on it, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not going to work for that peace in the world.” He gives a wide and bright smile, putting a hand to his chest.
“Just… working on my lantern, it’s kind of my way of doing everything I do.” She giggles from their words, getting more comfortable by the moment.
He lets them lean, analyzing her with a smile, “Whenever you want to go.”
She hops down from the spot she was at, landing next to them and pouring an altered healing potion into their mouth.
"Just messing with stuff? I get it.." his breathing slows, creating a steadier, comfier environment by the second
"How about now?"
He swallows it along with his medicine, standing up and stretching.
She blows something through the lantern, making a mist that seems to cover the environment, soothing and yet invigorating.
He pushes himself up from the couch, taking a moment to decide on his mop or his broom, deciding on his mop, which flies to his hand, “Why not?”
She helps them up, before turning to Nine, “You told me he was trapped in a well, you need to kick that lying habit, Nine.”
"ooh, what is that~? It looks so pretty.."
She smiles, walking out with him and taking off with 3 massive beats of her wings
"It's a cat, of course it lied.. Why is it's name Nine, by the way?.."
“It’s what I do, mists and elixirs made to heal and keep people strong. Thank you for thinking that. It’s all I’m good at.”
He follows after, a flame kindling on the back of his mop as he stands on it, flying after them, the wind in his hair.
“They are named after Thirteen, my current professor. Though this is their tenth life.”
"It's relaxing.." he says, yawning. "I'm only good at cuddles and massages, so you're much more impressive than me."
"Keep up, will ya?" she laughs, picking up speed.
He nods, pretending to understand.
She shakes her head, crawling all the way over to their face, “No I’m not, I’m a scared cat who was after of a big fluffball like you… you’re so nice, and cute, I’m…” Hse shakes her head, “Sorry.”
The flames grow as the speed increases, only as much as he needs to keep up.
“I can tell you don’t understand.” She takes their hand, leading them back to her laboratory, Nine following.
"Sounds like a crying shame. I'm Beagoji. I'm glad to meet you, Aokiji." He pulls out a little book. "Hm. What were your people called? I might have met them before. I am very old, and have travelled very far."
"It's nice to meet you as well, Beagoji. My people were simply the Araiguma, not well known or anything. What about you? If I can ask, that is."
He flips through his notes before putting the book away. "That is a hard question, friend. My people, if you could call them that, only gain personhood after 900 years of life. And we are hated by every culture that knows of our existence. We are hunted like animals and thrown into massive pits, usually for the sole purpose of attracting more of us who came to mourn or feast on the corpses of random, decaying beasts. We are clever, but no match for the wonders you humanoids invent to kill us. Once we reach that 900 years, however, we are better able to fend for ourselves. Opposable thumbs, for example, help greatly. Shapeshifting, too. A hunger to evolve, to become something better, to use our new bodies and minds to ascend to something higher than mere men."
He chuckles. "Surely you know us. Every culture has a natural hate, a natural fear, of the Gumiho, regardless of the name put to us. But I don't blame you all. So many humanoids have such short, violent lives. Even elves are hardly children by the time they go mad and die. And to hate a child for their fear of a powerful adult is monstrous, isn't it?"

You keep working for that peace, and it'll come. Not likely to be in your lifetime, or possibly even mine, but it will happen eventually."

She whoops and hollers, diving down and laughing
He follows, mind blank.
(Small bluish green goblin in many layers of cloth, she hides what she looks like to most people because of her paranoid nature. Don’t be sorry.)
She looks away from them, embarrassed as she curls back up, “Sorry, when did you get here?”
Benimaru isn’t enjoying the flight as much, trying to ignore the burning sensation on himself, though he smiles.
“Have you taken your medicine yet? The one for your memory?”

“Have you taken your medicine yet? The one for your memory?”
"An hour ago." he says, trying to calm them by rubbing their back
She lands next to the coast of a beach, nestling into the sand to gander at the water
"I did with the potion." he reassures her, laying in the bed
She subconsciously leans into their hand, closing her eyes and taking deep breaths.
He lands after them, hopping off the mop and hiding his burning hand scars, sitting down on the sand.
She sits down at her desk, “If you say so, after all, I’m taking care of you, I’m your doctor.”
He flips through his notes before putting the book away. "That is a hard question, friend. My people, if you could call them that, only gain personhood after 900 years of life. He takes a moment to process all this, listening intently. "But, why do people hunt your kind? In any case of racism i've gandered at, there's always a reason.."
"Why not prune a powerful being before it has the chance to ruin things for you? We draw power from the Divine Fox, a beast that swore that one day, she will come back in the body of a Gumiho and put an end to all that mankind has built, from the mightiest wall to the smallest babe. What she said was that she would reduce them to animals, and then to meat. Even without her blessings, we are immortal. We are fast and smart and tricky. And sometimes, when we get really angry and scared, we hurt people. I myself have done over a hundred years worth of vicious, unrelenting cruelty, trying to strike back at a world that maimed me, body and soul. So I pray for forgiveness every night and every day, before every meal or snack. We live in a wonderful world, Aokiji. I remind myself that every day."

Henlo, I am a pan, NB, chaotic ADHD mess of a furry.
