"Dispel magic, Antimagic field, Counterspell, that sort of thing.' he explains as the tendrils let go finally and retract back inside him.
"Good to know." he rubs his arm, nodding.
He nods his head and opens the door to them to the entrance back down to the tavern "If only I didn't wish for death, but whatever gets me there I suppose."
He nods, a faltering smile touching the corners of his mouth. "Reasons are secondary to actions. I want the next generation to have a better life than I did. I don't expect to change the world, but to give up hope is to stop fighting. And if I stop, I will be dead before I reach the soil."
"Don't worry, I can find something to do with your body when you are dead, of you'll allow it of course." The corner of his mouth twitches up in a smirk.
"I don't fear death. Not the loss of my own life. What I fear is the idea that I'll go down without a fight someday. To kill a body is easy. A little thing. You can do it on accident. But to kill a soul? The most precious thing a person has? That is true evil. When I fight, I don't fight to harm. I get the impression that you do."
"Sadly, you are correct. Though who are you to judge? You only wish to be as good as you can be but I fear you are nowhere near a saint, it's doubtful anyone can." He shrugs.

He frowns. He slowly leans forward. "Boy, I do not claim to be good. I don't intend to be. I'm being me. And if I happen to be good in the eyes of the people around me, then so be it. I love people. And I love unabashedly. I will feel whatever I wish and express it as deeply as I wish. You are in no position to judge me any more than I am in one to judge you."

"Do not call me boy, I have survived hundreds of years, I have seen the rise and fall of the Thayan Empire, I watched as Fizban forged his draconic alliance.. you are right, I am no position to judge nor vis versa." He sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"I cant bring you there yet." he walks in, bowing respectfully
*sorry for the delay*
"How upsetting." He sighs and rolls his shoulders.

"I call you 'boy' because you act like one. You have the superiority complex I'd expect from a 13-year-old. I understand that you might not be able to help it, but please, suppress it while you talk to me." He takes some deep breaths. "I'm sorry. I need some time to calm down. Would you like to talk about something else?"

He stands up and fixes the front of his robes "Of I have offended you this deeply perhaps I should leave." He says, looking away and rather looking towards the floor boards "Seems I am not.. welcome anymore."

He shakes his head. "You are welcome here. But please, improve your behavior. I expect to be treated as an equal. This whole time, you've been looking down upon me, and if that's all you offer in return for my services, I don't believe it can be considered valuable enough for your time." He speaks softly. It's almost a whisper.
"Which one? There are many you could be referring to." He smiles back, seemingly unbothered by the potential insult coming his way.
"The colour spectrum." He gestures at the Drow's bright clothing.
"Thank you for clarifying." He looks the mage over. "I prefer bright clothes so people know what happened to me today. Blood, dirt, sauces... they all show up better on white."
"Honest, as well. Heh, we really are opposites." The man chuckles. "I'm Neave, by the way. What do you go by?"

Hi, I'm hungry! I mean, I'm EJODM18604, but you can call me EJO.
As an avid League of Legends player, I main (And maybe potentially might could simp for) Aurora, the Witch between Worlds.
I'm active most weekends, but keep in mind I live in the BST timezone.
My Baalzeboopical title is The New Hunter! I have been proclaimed theArcane Oryctolagus By the great artificer Salem!
*Well since I am alive, extremely well now that Jobah's awake. Besides feeling cynical and inspired, how about you?*
*Fat and eepy, and filled with love. I've been thinking about Shigaraki from MHA a lot for some reason.*
*I still need to watch or read MHA, it's... on the list, I swear. May I ask what about you've been thinking about him.*
*This image, combined with the worldview he develops.*
*That's All For One, the big bad, holding Shigaraki as a child before adopting the kid.* *Shigaraki was left to die by just about everyone. He was lost and alone, and it was freaking AFO who rescued him. He gave the kid his name, spoiled him, and even prepared him to receive the Quirk that he's freaking named after.* *Shigaraki decided that any society that allowed something like himself to come to fruition deserved to fall.* *My latest character, Jacob, is a lot like Shigaraki, but he never had anyone. He was raised by Otyughs. He managed to keep a kind heart, even when he was forced to be strong from such a young age. Forced to be a hero.*
