Theren sighs. "Fine." he then lays his head down on her lap.

Serenity hums, waiting for him to fall asleep before casting variant dream (it allows you to be in the dream, circle of dreams ability I think)

Theren eventually falls asleep.

Serenity casts the spell

The dream forms to show Theren in a very strange looking woods. He slowly sticks a dead gnome to a tree with daggers, placing a curse of the weapons.

Serenity is out in the woods a little bit of a distance from the tavern, vines attempting to wrap around her arms as she tends to the plants.

Gully is walking around the main room, making a surprisingly good pick pocket as she moves from mark to mark, slipping coin purses off their belts. An improvement from when she had first gotten here

-to be introduced-

A giant paw places itself down on Gully's head. Loud sniffing occurs in her ear before a happy voice barks out "Tiny One!! You are back!!!"

The squeaks as she feels the paw, then smiles and turns towards the voice, "HI boss!"

Aix grins from wolf ear to wolf ear as his tail wags. "How you? Good i hope!"

"Yeah, I doing good!" She says

"That good!" He barks and grins

Gully seems flustered for a moment, then offers a coin purse, "Got money!

Aix's eyes light up and pats her on the head again affectionately. "That good!! Sly one!"

She grins, happy for the praise

"What you going to do with small coins?" He askes, his tail wagging

"Buy stuff," she guesses, "Stuff too hard to snatch?"

"Like cats" he says and grins "Pretty kitties"

"Yeah!" She nods

He grins again as his tail wags faster. "What you wanna buy?" He askes, tilting his head

"Uhhhh, not sure." She says, seeming to think

"Buy thing that you really like. Something useful. Like sword or string-stick flinger."

"Hmmm." She thinks for a while longer, before speaking again, "Biord"

"Bird?"

She nods and grins, "Bird"

Phoenix grumbles and throws Jack over his shoulder.

"I dont need you to carry me like some damsel in distress!" Jack protests.

Phoenix rolls his eyes and still carries him away from the swarm.

"Phoeeeenix." Jack whines and tries to twist out of the merc's grasp.

Phoenix eventually sets him down a decent away from the swarm. "There."

"I dont need to be taken care of like some doll" Jack says and lifts up his goggles "I've done this for years!"

"Yeah, well i'm not gonna risk you getting hurt."

"Hmph." He puts the goggles back on the pulls out his sword. He takes out a small knife and cuts his palm, letting the blood get absorbed into the hilt. The blade glows a red color as Jack takes off his goggles and stuffs them in his bag. He rips part of his jacket and wraps his hand. He smiles at Phoenix "See? I got this."

Phoenix frowns and takes off the makeshift bandage. He then wraps it properly with actual medical supplies.

Jack huffs "Oh cmon" he said and let Phoenix bandage him.

Phoenix's expression is guarded as he finishes bandaging Jack.

"Phoeeeenix." Jack whines and tries to twist out of the merc's grasp.

Phoenix eventually sets him down a decent away from the swarm. "There."

"I dont need to be taken care of like some doll" Jack says and lifts up his goggles "I've done this for years!"

"Yeah, well i'm not gonna risk you getting hurt."

"Hmph." He puts the goggles back on the pulls out his sword. He takes out a small knife and cuts his palm, letting the blood get absorbed into the hilt. The blade glows a red color as Jack takes off his goggles and stuffs them in his bag. He rips part of his jacket and wraps his hand. He smiles at Phoenix "See? I got this."

Phoenix frowns and takes off the makeshift bandage. He then wraps it properly with actual medical supplies.

Jack huffs "Oh cmon" he said and let Phoenix bandage him.

Phoenix's expression is guarded as he finishes bandaging Jack.

Jack sighs and pulls away, flexing his hand. "Your horribly mean to me. I am not made of porcelain." He says.

Phoenix grumbles and throws Jack over his shoulder.

"I dont need you to carry me like some damsel in distress!" Jack protests.

Phoenix rolls his eyes and still carries him away from the swarm.

"Phoeeeenix." Jack whines and tries to twist out of the merc's grasp.

Phoenix eventually sets him down a decent away from the swarm. "There."

"I dont need to be taken care of like some doll" Jack says and lifts up his goggles "I've done this for years!"

"Yeah, well i'm not gonna risk you getting hurt."

"Hmph." He puts the goggles back on the pulls out his sword. He takes out a small knife and cuts his palm, letting the blood get absorbed into the hilt. The blade glows a red color as Jack takes off his goggles and stuffs them in his bag. He rips part of his jacket and wraps his hand. He smiles at Phoenix "See? I got this."

Phoenix frowns and takes off the makeshift bandage. He then wraps it properly with actual medical supplies.

Jack huffs "Oh cmon" he said and let Phoenix bandage him.

Phoenix's expression is guarded as he finishes bandaging Jack.

Jack sighs and pulls away, flexing his hand. "Your horribly mean to me. I am not made of porcelain." He says.

Phoenix sighs. "Is it so bad that I care about you?"

"No.." he sighs and walks forward. They get no more than a few steps when a mass of writhing flesh with no bones to hold it up slides against the wall towards them. It screeches and suddenly jumps on them, wrapping around Jack tightly, trying to smother him.

"JACK!" Phoenix shouts.

Attack: 17 Damage: 20

Phoenix manages to scrape it but the thing is holding on to jack for dear life, trying to drain his life force. Jack grabs his spell book and pulls out a iron filament. He pushes Phoenix away as his hands catch on fire. He grabs the flesh as it sizzles and screams.

Phoenix sheathes the knife and grabs Jacks waist, trying to pull him out.

Jack sighs and pulls away, flexing his hand. "Your horribly mean to me. I am not made of porcelain." He says.

Phoenix sighs. "Is it so bad that I care about you?"

"No.." he sighs and walks forward. They get no more than a few steps when a mass of writhing flesh with no bones to hold it up slides against the wall towards them. It screeches and suddenly jumps on them, wrapping around Jack tightly, trying to smother him.

"JACK!" Phoenix shouts.

Attack: 17 Damage: 20

Phoenix manages to scrape it but the thing is holding on to jack for dear life, trying to drain his life force. Jack grabs his spell book and pulls out a iron filament. He pushes Phoenix away as his hands catch on fire. He grabs the flesh as it sizzles and screams.

Phoenix sheathes the knife and grabs Jacks waist, trying to pull him out.

STR: 21

It screeches again as it is pried off but it wraps around Phoenix's arm. Jack huffs, trying to regain oxygen to his lungs. He grips Phoenix's arm and whispers something, suddenly, bright light flashes as the mass of flesh falls and lies still. Jack blinks his eyes, a bit blinded.

"Thats it. We're going." Phoenix picks up Jack and carries him out of the temple, ignoring any protests he has.

"Phoenix!!!" Jack says and bites his ear gently, caring to much to actually hurt him.

"Dont care jack." Phoenix says, anger creeping into his tone.

"Mnnnn." Jack whines a bit, grumping

Once they are out of the temple and far away from it, he sets Jack down.

Phoenix grumbles and throws Jack over his shoulder.

"I dont need you to carry me like some damsel in distress!" Jack protests.

Phoenix rolls his eyes and still carries him away from the swarm.

"Phoeeeenix." Jack whines and tries to twist out of the merc's grasp.

Phoenix eventually sets him down a decent away from the swarm. "There."

"I dont need to be taken care of like some doll" Jack says and lifts up his goggles "I've done this for years!"

"Yeah, well i'm not gonna risk you getting hurt."

"Hmph." He puts the goggles back on the pulls out his sword. He takes out a small knife and cuts his palm, letting the blood get absorbed into the hilt. The blade glows a red color as Jack takes off his goggles and stuffs them in his bag. He rips part of his jacket and wraps his hand. He smiles at Phoenix "See? I got this."

Phoenix frowns and takes off the makeshift bandage. He then wraps it properly with actual medical supplies.

Jack huffs "Oh cmon" he said and let Phoenix bandage him.

Phoenix's expression is guarded as he finishes bandaging Jack.
