The well opens up a bit into a wider tunnel, but still is empty except at the bottom. The bottom of the well is dry, somewhat overgrown with small plants and creepers, and has a stone door embedded in the north-facing wall.

The room is dimly lit by several lanterns with magical flame. The floor is littered with many strips of paper with writing on them, and offerings line the walls. Delicately prepared meals, piles of coins, ornate weapons, rich jewelry, and all manner of objects fill the room.

All of the strips of paper contain surprisingly wholesome and kind messages to someone named Threskos. The uppermost ones seem to be more reverent and religious, like “Threskos, your sacrifice won’t be forgotten.” The lower ones seem to be more personal and encouraging, like “You can do this! We’re all rooting for you!” Oh, forgot to mention there’s one more door here. The inscription above it states “No breath, no sound”.

You are standing on a small platform connected to a bridge which stretches over a seemingly bottomless abyss. The circular room is massive, almost 150 feet in diameter. Small motes of dusky white light float in the air, and old blood covers the ground. Withered plants and roots hang from the side of the bridge. And at the other end of the bridge is another platform, circular and with a base extending into the abyss.
Standing atop that platform, frozen in a pillar of something like light that almost looks solid, is a massive minotaur clad in silk and strange dark stone, holding aloft a greataxe as if about to strike a great foe. His eyes red and furious, his nostrils dilated, his mouth suspended in a perpetual silent roar, balanced on the ends of his hooves.
A voice murmurs to you.
Shall the hero awaken?
