Geralt is nearby, because he can’t be too far from it because of the chain.
“Say, that doesn’t hurt or burn or anything, does it? The chain’s dense but I’m not sure if that’d be enough exactly.”
“I don’t feel anything but the chain against my skin, and the chain just feels as cold as always. It’s strange.”
“Okay. I’m nearly done. Just need to finish the edge, but I’m sure you can whet it yourself.”
“If I remember correctly I will, thank you for this, though I lack the blade will stay intact, based on what must have broken it last time.”
“Oh by the way, what caused that?”
“I… was fighting something, something old and powerful, I can’t remember what.”
“Well if I see it, I’ll smack it up properly.” She lifts the blade up and hands it back to Geralt. “Should be good as new, hopefully…”
He takes the blade, which begins to glow red hot as the metal attaches to the broken parts truly, somehow returning to the blade it once was, and with it, memories into Geralt’s mind.
“So is it as you hoped?”

No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
He lays down on the bed, putting his wet shirt to the side “Nope, that happens with more time going. It’ll stop eventually.”
She takes the shell, hugging them back despite her shyness.
He nods “Okay… I’ll go to bed with you.” He says, looking to them.
He doesn’t resist against the tether, rather just standing next to his wife, not willing to risk hurting her when hurting himself, clinging to her tightly “Sorry.”
Geralt is nearby, because he can’t be too far from it because of the chain.
“Say, that doesn’t hurt or burn or anything, does it? The chain’s dense but I’m not sure if that’d be enough exactly.”

He puts the blade to his side, shattering the next metal with his knee “Yeah we can’t have that coming here.” He looks seriously concerned.
Thirteen isn’t anywhere around, but the door to his room is ajar and a strange silvery light shines from out of the crack.
Mauric is styling the fur on his ears and humming idly, sitting on the roof with his legs dangling.
Loriche is fixing Geralt’s blade.
Riotan is making bad decisions.
Vitroze has their first new case, a simple breaking and entering plaintiff.
Stroth appears behind Riotan, giggling madly "Sparrow says he is gonna help me find out who you liiiiiike!!!"
He puts down the peyote and turns around, sighing. “I bet he’ll help a ton, won’t he?”
"Huh?" She raises a brow but shrugs "I wanna help you get that person you like!!!"
“I want you to tell me who this friend of yours is.” He boops her nose.
"Friend?" She blinks "You?"
“No I meant the one you said who likes me.”
"Oh, right! Well, you tell me who you like and I'll tell you who likes you okay? A fair exchange. No lies, no tricks." She grins.
“Fffffffffffffffine. It’s, uh… Samaritan…” He sighs, putting up an impeccable veneer of embarrassment.
She curses, thinking for a moment "Well the gal that likes you is Merabelle. Kinda like me, part of Sparrow's crew."
“Oh come on, that’s all? I knew that already!” He giggles. “That information wasn’t worth all the trouble…”
"I'm a nosy (GP)! I have to know!!" She hisses.
“Alright alright.” He throws the cacti aside and grins. “Anyway, what’s up?”
"Bored, wanna be bored with someone else so I'm not bored alone." She grins, baring sharp teeth.
“Girl, you just put my life to words.” He chuckles.
"I want to like... Create a ton of smoke bombs and flood the streets with them so people freak out or something." She cackles "Or burn down one house and blame it on like... A really old man."

"Forgive the mess, I am trying to regain my sanity again."
“No one, no matter how hard they try will ever be a ‘good’ hero. The fact that you’re trying makes you good enough. Even I know that.” He says with a smile.
"Mn, I was never good. Not a good actor, not a good hero.." he sighs and stands up, rolling his neck "Which is why I have to do better."
“Ah the art of constant improvement, now that’s something I can get behind, fighting until I stand at the pinnacle of strength, leaving even the gods behind.”
"Something of the sort I suppose." He laughs "Have you been here long?"
“I’ve been here a while but I wouldn’t say a long time, how about you?”
"A few weeks, like... Three at most." He thinks.
“Ah, so I think I might have been here longer than you. That’s kinda crazy.” He says with a smile, chuckling.

He nods, putting the staff on his shoulder “I didn’t even notice, but you’re right, it’s almost cold outside.” He gets walking to the tavern.
He lays down on the bed, putting his wet shirt to the side “Nope, that happens with more time going. It’ll stop eventually.”

"Thank you so much, Alta." She says, patting her stomach "That shell comes from Der Waussen... He gave it to us as a symbol of protection. So, hold on to it.
"Yeah, good idea, babe." She drags him to their room and into bed.
She rubs his back up and down, sighing. She weights noticeably less. "You're stressing me out, pup..."

He closes his eyes, breathing in the smoke with no difficulty “Do you want any money for yourself?”
She nods, looking at the shell with interest “Really? I will make sure to cherish it then, I will keep it with me all the time if that makes you happy.”
He curls up in the bed, closing his eyes but not yet able to sleep.
He looks at her, much more concerned “Have you been eating? You need to stop worrying about me, it’s starting to affect you too much. If it helps I won’t do anything.”
Georgie continues for a bit before he unfolds the paper dolls
He chuckles "You said you would tell me. I am waiting."
"Does that take away their life?" Yuri asks, genuinely curious.
He takes a deep breath and stares at him for a moment, "I like you. You're the only person that's treated me kindly and it's [gp]ing with my emotions." He says, fueled by tipsy bluntness
"I dint think so? They didn't really have lives before, I hadn't given them personalities yet"
