Just because i havent seen it yet, i am military. More specifically i am an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician (think bomb squad). Been in 16 years with anoth 5-6 to go (retire after son finishes high school. I have always loved the d&d community and have been consistently playing since i was about 8 (with 8 total kids it was the family go to game). Cheers to all the students, i still have no idea what i want to do when i grow up!

The world needs more hula hoopers. <3 And people who spin fire. There's something hypnotically enjoyable about watching the rotations of hoops and poi on fire.
I have yet to burn, but GOD do I want to. I think right now I'd be more comfortable spinning fire poi than a hoop.

Disgruntled graphic designer. Got hired by a big sign company. I do a lot of wide format typesetting. Convert a lot of crappy raster images into vector graphics that I can properly scale. Plus I am slowly forming a turtle like shell that allows poop to slide off of it. The goal when I got my degree was doing cool magazine and book layouts, but we see where that went. ;)

I go to this place called Nelson Ledges like 5 times a summer for music festivals and they have a group that performs on the beach once to twice a weekend called The Ohio Burn Unit...I am mesmerized by fire in any art form. It' so primal. But they are pretty awesome, they have fire fans and fire swords...all sorts of cool stuff. I hope you get good to burn :) I've spun fire poi horribly at my buddies last year and they taught me how to eat fire too. I did that quite well...lol You should check out the Burn Unit though...
I just watched this video for the first time before linking it here, but in the beginning of the video they are spinning on a river, that's my hometown! That was cool to see... it's an event we have 3 times a summer called Waterfire. Was just trying to show ya some cool stuff from these guys and forgot that they went to Waterfire last year...lol

That's so cool! Here in Chicago once the weather's good we have the Full Moon Fire Jam which I'm actually going to be able to go to thanks to a new job giving me that freedom, haha. They do safety training before every event, so I'm hoping to have my first burn there, or at least sometime this year.

That looks so awesome. I really love how there is this vibe going through the country within the past decade or so, fire and art festivals popping up all over. Our Firewater is pretty awesome, there's tribal music playing throughout speakers downtown and performers all over town. And hopefully, soon, I will also have a job that gives me more freedom.Anyways, I hope you get your safety training in! :) Let us know if you get to burn!! :)
