Question: Do you have a favorite character you've played? If you've only ever played one, do you have a favorite / memoriable moment from that character? Played mutliple characters? Feel free to talk about any of them.
I really liked my white Dragonborn 4 mercy monk/1divine soul sorcerer, Ajarikim Sahmat. He wielded a vampiric yklwa called Bloodbiter. I think I have talked about him a bunch on here so I won’t plague y’all with another description of his backstory.

My favorite (and only) character I've played is a half dragon half elf named Cadmus Freaniathem. His backstory is something like this. Grew up in a castle. Grew up with queen's daughter. Became queen's daughter's personal guard. Queen and mother captured and enslaved by evil wizard just before Cadmus and princess got married. Is now on a quest to get stronger so he can rescue his mother and the Queen. he is a rogue arcane trickster but now that I think about it he should have been an Oath of vengence Paladin
Rogue trickster still can work - because you're looking to get in and rescue your mother, I'd imagine, as a priority, rather than seeking vengeance (since, ideally, she's still alive
Yeah she is still alive. The wizard took control of their minds and is currently using them as servants and pawns. The fact that she was captured is only known to Amalia (the princess) and Cadmus, because they were there when it happened. Also Cadmus was teleported to another world to get stronger. Whenever he dies in that world he actually goes bacck to his world and will try to rescue the Queen and his mother. (Btw more backstory. His mother is the Queens maid and best friend, that's why he grew up in the castle.)

Question: What was for breakfast? I plan to have a pulled pork quesadilla.
It is a little late for this, but usually cereal. If I have the time and energy, then I might eat an apple while juggling but that can be difficult. I usually have a lot of fruit no matter what though. I love fruit and eat a lot of it. In the words of Zouzab, “The longer it sits the worser it gets.”

I think talked about him a little in the original thread, but my favorite is my current Tempest Cleric, Arkyn Torson. He's a big, strong, red-haired human from the north, and his family is (supposedly) descended from Thor himself. One of the most narratively satisfying moments came recently, which I'll have to give some backstory for. After the party defeated a werepanther in the catacombs beneath the city we started in, Arkyn found a holy symbol of Thor, much like his own. Through magical means, it was revealed that it belonged to another person from his homeland, another god-descendant who was chased into the catacombs by the champion of a noble house who had a penchant for hunting down and killing anyone descended from the gods. Arkyn swore to avenge his fellow countryman. Long story short, after much confrontation and intrigue, we had a major showdown with a powerful group of bad guys, including this murderous champion. The other villains got away, but not this one, and Arkyn got the satisfaction of declaring judgment before ending the champion's life with a warhammer to the skull. I love playing Arkyn because he's somewhat naive and downright thickheaded at times, but takes certain things very seriously and doesn't trifle when it comes to protecting people important to him.
Sounds like a very cool moment; was the other descendant from another Norse deity?
Yes actually! She was descended from Freya, which is another part of the mystery. We had someone show us a sort of vision of the holy symbol's history, and it showed her being given this symbol of Thor as a sort of protective charm before she came down south where we were (at least a few years before we found it). But we don't know who gave it to her, and obviously it didn't work too well.

Ah… the stories I could tell. Of all my characters I have 3 favorites I have played and one I haven’t. Amnon Balderk was my first character. He was a tiefling sorcerer/artificer. He’s the fella who never got a chance to finish the campaign he was in… He was my favorite in terms of backstory and development. Declan Armand is the character I was using in the game I’m playing in. He is a sorcerer and he was super fun to play, especially in roleplaying, but his goals were so far from the party’s (in terms of location. Not ideals) that he had to leave or I couldn’t play him right without splitting the party (which I hate.). I didn’t make him with the intention to leave, but his goal came up so quickly and it was so close that he just had to leave. He was my favorite in terms of roleplaying. He was replaced by Jack, who is the best ranger ever. (Sorry Drizzt) Jack is my favorite in terms of mechanics, but he’s a runner up for character development. I also have an amazing wizard named Alabaster Kane, who I haven’t played yet, but he has the best background I’ve ever made, I’ve roleplayed him a bit in some one-shots (and it was perfect), and he is mechanically balanced and useful in many scenarios.
Very cool - surprised Amnon Balderk was your favorite, since it's your forum name here. I assume Amnon Balderk, on here, was selected, before your character's departure from the campaign?
Actually, my name was chosen a while after. I use Amnon’s name for a variety of things, because he’s just amazing. He never actually left, it’s just that the campaign ended when our amazing GM and friend left when he accepted a teaching job in Korea, and he’s set to return this summer. We sadly fell out of contact, but I and the other players are hoping we can play with him again.
Mine is either Mister Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra or Facts About Animals by Mike Wozniak.
I shall ruminate upon this for a while.
Right now I'm thinking Sweet Dreams by Aviators.
I know I'm late to this party, but I have never run into another Aviators fan outside of his YouTube channel comment section, and it made me very happy to read this. Stargazers is one of my favorite albums of his, so I commend you on your song selection.
Mine has to be the PHB, Xanathar’s, or Eberron. They were my first books (Admittedly, I got the PHB with the MM and DMG, but that’s unimportant) and they still have my favorite subclasses and races. They also have the most creativity and exciting ideas! (Not to mention, the PHB has all the broken spells…)
[Edit: I should clarify that I mean 5e books, as that’s a form of D&D everyone here has played. If I had included other editions then my answer would be different… 3.5 Miniatures Handbook anyone?]
I like Volo's Guide because, not only does it have a lot of cool monsters and races, it provides a ton of lore and cool ideas that are fun to work with.
MMM is good I guess because it provides a lot of monsters and races, I just wish it included more of lore like Volo's did.
I like the PHB, Tasha's, and Xanathar's all equally. Those books have a lot of character ideas that are awesome.

In my homebrew world Volo's is an actual book that exists, but it's highly inaccurate and mostly pro-human, anti-"monster" propaganda
Carric Aquissar, elven wannabe artist in his deconstructionist period (Archfey warlock) Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric) Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator obsessed with that one unsolved murder (Assassin rogue) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)

That is pretty cool. I had a friend who did something similar. The characters came across Volo's guide and could use it to learn about monsters and their weaknesses.

What a coincidence! I had Volo’s exist in-world back when we played in the Forgotten Realms! Mordenkainen’s (the OG) and something similar to the MM and DMG also existed. I suppose Mordenkainen’s and Volo’s deserve honorable mentions as well, because the lore and character options are amazing and the monsters are sublime!
I’m so happy. I just found a guy selling thirteen 3 and 3.5 manuals for a grand total of $330. They are all great condition, never-used for most of them. He brought the price down to $250 and threw in four sets of dice. Best Buy I’ve made in a while.
Yesterday, I attended a world record event for the largest (1000 player, 200 DM) game of D&D in the world. It was pretty cool, we fought a divided and weakened avatar of Vecna. At the end of the game, when the avatar was bound, we were given one last attack each. I’m happy to say my final attack was a nat 20 level 2 divine smite for a total of 52 damage. :)

I wish I could have gone. I’m close by (within a state or two) but I didn’t even know it was happening.
Hmm. They would probably be a pair of shoes that my dad handed down to me. He definitely had them since his wedding at least, so they’re at least 20 years old, probably more.
Question of the day: What is your oldest pair of shoes? Did you buy them yourself?
Mine are a pair of black leather dress shoes that I have had for over 25 years. They were a gift from my Dad.
Hmm... tough question. I guess my oldest pair of shoes would have to be my pair of shoes, which I got about 2/3 of a year ago. I only have one pair.
