sadly, while I would absolutely love to go, I have a small issue in that Indiana is not a place I can safely travel.

Nope. I have like 500 different trips to take over the summer, so I plan to get as much rest as possible in between them. Come to think of it, I might be on a trip that week! But I would like to go if I could, if only to see the panels.

Basic characteristics make it very much like a slime or ooze, but it is a particulate creature, essentially made up of gazillions of little droplets of itself.
trying to,figure out how it is combatted, and could use some suggestions.

I would chip in to a prize, but sadly I am in a very bad state fiscally. Hoping to correct it soonish.

Do you play any CPRG (computer role playing games) that are specifically not an MMO? (Examples for myself, would be any of Wizardry, Realms of Arkania, Neverwinter Nights, Might & Magic, etc)
If so, which ones?
Are there ones you played in the past and enjoyed?

I am an unabashed fan of the Horizon series. Not an MMO yet.
There’s something about playing Aloy from a small child through to the struggling adult she becomes as she saves the world, the sense of. Ding an outcast, the struggle to belong, the discovery and the losses along the way, and the stories she intersects with that I cannot get out of my head.
plus, stylistically, I love the world building.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! I am not a mother myself, for many reasons (main one being my sex is male), but I do celebrate my mom. If I didn't have her, I would probably be dead in a dotch somewhere
And that gives me an idea for a question of the day (the mother part, not the ditch part):
Question Of The Day: What are some "mother' figures in your games/worlds. Could be anything from a variation of Mother Earth (Gaia) to a Drow Matron Mother. Tell me all about those characters
And yes, Dorsay, you are allowed to write a wall of text, I have a feeling your post on this question while be quite long. Just a hunch, though
I haven't made a whole homebrew world, but if I were to, I'd have a god modeled after Tulkas from the Silmarilion, who essentially serves to fight threats against the gods. In my world, this god would be a matronly sort who fights the bigger Far Realm entities and forces them back through the gate they came from. It would be an interesting start to a campaign to have this goddess go missing.

In my version of the Forgotten Realms, I use the Earth Mother, a version of the goddess Chauntea who essentially embodies the Celtic idea of the Great Mother Goddess. Also, in my world Lolth is not quite as evil; she’s more like a matriarchal protector of drow culture.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).
Kybele is, of course, the Mother of all, the most beloved goddess both before and after the gods war. She’s a bit of an airhead, though.
Gallae and Lamia are spouses, and they absolutely are moms — just not very good at it with people. More like major pet moms.
Gaea promotes herself as the earth mother sort, but she’s more like the crazy old aunt.
of course, all the women, even Antelle, are actually mothers; they are the source of all the beings in the other dimensions.
it should be noted that both Antelle and Chicory — trans women — have given birth. In Chicory’s case, it was the death of the last of those in her family from the one she did have that caused her to end the war. Antelle still has children among the peoples— and occasionally mentions some that aren’t even on Avalon (main continent of the world).

I am having a great time creating the images of the critters for Wyrlde.
I have several version of a Salathen, which is an indigenous lizard type monster. I have the weird stuff I showed before, too.
but I also have a Jackalope, Cactus Cat, Alicanto, Hodag, and al’miraj. Random encounters in the wilderness can be quite interesting.
